Just a thought could someone put up a proper and complete mining guide for newbies. Be cool to attract newbies and the more the mining is spread the better for the coin.

I'm no expert and am past the newbie stage having successfully mined a few different alts of late, but still fail at every attempt to solo mine sexcoin (and a few other alts here), guess there's plenty worse off them me that'd give up altogether in most these alts.

The easiest way to solo mine, is to change sexcoin.conf (gen=1).

If you want to use a more efficient miner, try

*miner -a scrypt -o localhost:*rpcport* -O *rpcuser*:*rpcpassword*

e.g. (for NVIDIA-cards):
cudaminer -a scrypt -o localhost:9561 -O your*rpcuser:your*strong*rpcpassword

pooler-cpuminer
minerd -a scrypt -o localhost:9561 -O your*rpcuser:your*strong*rpcpassword

cgminer --scrypt -o localhost:9561 -u your*rpcuser -p your*strong*rpcpassword
(not tested, anybody else?)

Why you do not understand that watching child-like teens, will only give those against the crypto movement, more ammunition.

Don't get me started on sites like RKings and how they prey on the drunken, drugged, young and impressionable.

On a serious note: If Sexcoin ever gets widely accepted it is unavoidable that, like BTC and LTC, it also will be used for illegal activities. So what? I am sure that the main currency for all kind of criminal activity still are the Dollar and the Euro. According to your logic you would have to stay away from those currencies.

I am sure those sites are legal in most countries, with the possible exception of islamic countries and maybe germany. Maybe you would be happier if you would move to one of those countries?

Who's website? I have no idea what the hell ur on about in here and as far as I am aware sxcoin has no association with any illegal websites?

I think the coin's name will be a good novelty when it starts trading (after it has usefulness aswell), longterm it could do well, and the average users will think of it more in a fun way as fun thing.

Personally, I've been imagining the potential for VOD and mail order. I thought cryptosextoys was a stroke of genius. If A&E, LionsDen, Starship, and other brick and mortar, not to mention all the "marital aid" sites ( I always chuckle at that term ) begin accepting the coin, not to mention the "intimate apparel" sites...WOW, I think it may actually help my marriage. LOL...there might be key-parties with sxc as party favors. Just like the real world, there's the good, the bad and the ugly.

I personally prefer to concentrate on the good...maybe a little bad thrown in, and the ugly....well, eye of the beholder.

Ok.. The reason we do not have a website with an intergrated p2pool up at the moment is server space.

I did arrange to set up a server using another internet connection. The person involved gave their permission at first, but when I spoke to them about arranging a time to set up the server, they told me they had "moral issues" beause the site has the word "Sex" in it.

I have ported the site over to another machine which will be used as a dedicated server and at the moment I am intergrating the p2pool stats page into the site.

I have spoken to my ISP and will be paying for a static IP from which to host the site. Please note at the moment I am assigned a static private IP adress, not a dynamic public IP adress, which makes hosting impossible as the usual work arounds for hosting with a dynamic address are not possible.

My ISP wants to wait until the start of my next billing cycle to make these changes, which is the 10th of the month. I'm willing to live with that, as it gives me a bit of time to get things right. I also believe that this is not the first time nor will it be the last time there will be debate over the morality of the currency.

The windows client is dead...

Keeps loading infinitely, trying to load ~320640 blocks+

Eg, you can't mine with it, because it never appears to be synced. There is not that many blocks, so something it corrupted in the windows compiled version.

Was a nice coin while it lasted. Sad that it just died...

Then change the RPC port to anything OTHER THAN rpcport=9560 (I used 9666)

I'm not surprised about people with moral issues with porn, because in most porn the actors earn money by misogynistic behaviour.
But I'm surprised about people with moral issues with sex. Sex should not have a moral code beside our normal moral code. As long as it is good for the sex-interacting persons, it should be good for everyone, as long as the persons are no teens anymore.
