Moral of the story ALWAYS use pools, NEVER solo mine.
That's not even remotely correct. Pools are great if you don't have enough hashing power, and are looking for a quick (but reduced) payout. The general rule of thumb that I've heard, and follow: If you generate at least one block per day solo, then it's better to solo mine. If you have to wait for weeks or months for a block, then yeah, join a pool. And yeah... now that it's on an exchange, the diff isn't going back down to .07 again.... sure wish I'd mined more back then...

because is by far the best reward ratio of any coin. yesterday was around .50 BTC/day with 1 meg. Now is around .25/day per meg. Once you release the new client and the porno industry starts accepting it the hash will be higher then LTC

They all go black (hint hint - experience or frequent visitors to hacker sites), they provide no trading tools like trading indicators, no ticker tape, and so on. I have really thought in developing an exchange the way it is supposed to be and I might if I can't find a job soon.

P2Pool is back up.
Well, I'm not sure what made the p2pool lose its mind today, but I think I've got it back up and stable. I'll have time to scrutinize the logfiles tonight. More when I find out what the hell that was.

Nobody is denying that. But until we have something better, it's all we got.

That's a well known issue that is being addressed. Your coins are safe, mining is safe. Take a read on the OP and also a lot of posts in here.

I keep seeing hype about the new client. But what exactly is the new client going to do? I don't know but I thought they said eventually they would like to incorporate A/V my idea on this is port the UI to QT 5 and then just use the qtwebkit in qtquick 2 to incorperate webrtc (I already checked webrtc is not in the 4.x) but I'm not a dev just throwing out an idea for the distant future.

I keep seeing hype about the new client. But what exactly is the new client going to do? The new client will address the desync issue, reduce the difficulty retargeting time so the coin is less like to stall, and anything else it may have added is our secret. We want to be the first to introduce things. It's taking some time. The lavapit also took alot of time. this is because unlike other pools that "skip blocks" and drop entire block rewards into the pool operators wallets, or payout bonus blocks as if they were normal blocks, and are put up in a day,Lava spent time modifying signifigant amounts of code to put up a fair pool that pays honestly. And it will be the same with the client. It will be released when lava confident that it works, and it works properly.
