it's never a great time to sell your bitcoin, just figure out how much of a return you want from your investment and stick to it
I Am agree here. Now bitcoin price $14,127 its not good time for sell bitcoin.you can buy now bitcoin and hold them tightly. When another pump will come, you should sell your bitcoin.

Yes and we saw bitcoin had touched $20k so it's not far to happen again so better to keep buying.
However, if you really need to sell like there's something urgent in your finances then sell some of it then just try to buy back or sell when you at least profited. But personally, this isn't the good exit point.

Correct, its not yet the right time to exit in bitcoin. Bitcoin is expected to reach 20K in the starting month of 2018. Just sell from your profit and not your total investment in bitcoin.

Do you think it will be the best time to sell as there are two kind of speculations one says the value of bitcoin will reach $20,000 by 2018 and there are also speculations that the bitcoin might go through a dump in upcoming days but i know we cannot believe into random predictions by random users due to the volatility of bitcoin but i need some suggestions whether to hold on to bitcoin or sell it out and invest some of it into altcoins and then wait for the price drop to reinvest into bitcoin which i am not sure will happen or not.

this is not the right time because it's cheap so take advantage of the opportunity when the cheap price to buy as much bitcoin as you can because january bitcoin will also experience hardfork again.

Long term goal and not just getting little profits or else you will be trapped with this certain fluctuations, its better to analyze buy some with your spare money and hold for some time, never fall into panic and allow this coin to grow again with its value.

Yeah correct. Better not to panic because it will just create a dump in bitcoin. Better to stay strong, bitcoin is still a good investment to make in 2018.

Thats true the current price is not expensive as before, it would be better to wait until it increase again. However it still depends on you, if you are in need of money and at this current state you already gain from the initial investment then theres nothing wrong to take profit at times.

It really depends on how much profit you've made so far. Depends on your situation, how you view it, and what you think the market will do? Do you think it'sat the highest potential or not? Do you think that more or less people will get involved? Do you need the money? Do you view this as a quick cash.

Everybody want to withdraw their savings from crypto into fiats especially when the course is at its peak. But we can not know for sure when this peak will come. I think it's better to allocate resources, so one part you can sell and other just hold.

My view is different. I think it's going down after one last bounce & another failed fork on 28/12.

Some of the posts here say, 'sell when you are happy with the gain', and I totally agree with them. Not even experts can predict the exact future.
Exactly, the best thing which can help you in this matter is that you make up your mind like the amount of profit you want to make from your bitcoins right at the time of buying those bitcoins. Once you see the market value of bitcoin reaching that limit, simply go for selling of your bitcoin. Right now, selling will help you make more profit but you need to decide by planning the profit you want to make.

I think at a time when bitcoin prices soar and will soon go down the next day, maybe that's the right time to sell bitcoin. and I'm sure bitcoin prices will always go up day by day

Assuming you own any gold and silver. Why would you sell something at its cheapest point in recent history to speculate on a 'new' concept. Sure get into to crypto's instead of fiat investments like stocks and bonds but you should not liquidate gold and silver at this point in time.

Absolutely not to sell your money now especially with the fact that bitcoin has not yet had the duration of correction so the value is still increasing. Really it's a big mistake if someone sells his bitcoin now, how he resonate and how he think to make such a decision. Finally, I am addressing to all the people of this forum, try always to hold your bitcoin the maximum and never to sell them in any circumstances and under any problem.
Thank god, there is someone who understands that the right and best time of purchasing and selling bitcoin varies from investor to investor. If you are not selling bitcoin at a price higher than at what you bought it, your re definitely in loss but if the case is vice versa, you are making a good deal of profit. But as a general rule, it is said to purchase bitcoin when the prices are low because it would help you to have decent money in pumps.

i quote your last sentences in other word.do not put our portofolio just in one basket.it is more risky.by holding some portofolio we could reduce risk when bitcoin or altcoin drop sharply.

If you really meed the money then everytime is a great time to sell it but if you do not need that much money it is better to hold it because bitcoins value is still low unlike before that became $20k but now they decreases and you do not want to waste that money because that holding that you got gonna increase you just need a lot of patience but it is really up to you if you are gonna golloe them that panic selling. That is the cause of the downfall of the bitcoins those people who sell their bitcoins because the price drops they are just making it drop more.

for now if you sell the bitcoin you have then it is not the right time because bitcoin I hear will hold hardfork which gives b2x coin for bitcoin holder so just save the bitcoin you got after that you sell at high price do not at cheap price that can make you lose.

Nope, dont sell if you have bitcoins right now, the best thing that you can do is just wait until the price recovers back to $20k again, and then it would be a perfect time to sell in a pretty number. Just be patient, maybe in less than a week we are going to see those prices again.

This is the time to buy bitcoin not sell as the price had dropped, Bitcoin price will reach $20 000 as predicted and will be over that amount in the near future, If one  have the need for money it is okay to sell and attend to that need but selling to invest now is not the right time as the altcoins can not fetch you the kind of profit bitcoin will.

It depends on the person, cause for me, this is the best time to buy some bitcoin and hold, cause there is a full probability that the price will skyrock  by 2018. I believe that the cause of the present drop in its price is because of the Christmas celebration.

I don't think is the right time to sell because bitcoin is currently recovering from the recent correction so why sell now instead try to invest money into bitcoin for more profits.

Seriously asking this is not good thing because its your internal decision and the choice lies with you because you have to anlyze your current situation that whether you have made enough of amount in btc that you are satisfied or not.If was in your place i would hodl because whatever negativity surrounds related to its growth i know it will prove them wrong and reach new landmarks.Rest your choice.
