as of right now the 4th largest crypto Smiley

yes, QRK is on a TEAR today!!!!   Grin

all of this and cryptsy is still making it so difficult to buy any quark. Try and put an order in now, my order is still not showing after 15 mins. Imagine when this gets on a non broken exchange.

Im thinking of getting some more, what exchange should I use then?
My buy order went unfulfilled by Cryptsy for nearly 3 hours so I cancelled that, transfered to Bter.com and bought Quark there very quickly.

YES same here my buy orders were ignored and now it has gone up 25-30% more , cryptsy will never handle big  volume markets, their script is obviously unable to cope.  I hear whispers of a QRK/BTC exchange coming anyway. It's past time we had a decent place to trade QRK. This is more than likely why people are putting in values above the market rate, because by the time their order actions the market rate that existed when they wanted to buy has shot past and you will not get any coins. You need to put a  bit higher than the market rate to even get a chance at your order being executed.

btc38 on the 13.

However, Cryptsy has a Volume of 2238 BTC in Quark which will be hard to beat Smiley

BTCE will be forced to take it soon, their troll box running on about quark must be leaking traffic to cryptsy and any other exchange that deals with qrk in the future.

Cryptsy seems to be at a standstill with Quark trading, not that no one is trading but the trades aren't actually working.

Bter is working fine though.

Ive given up trying to buy on cryptsy but its fun watching the hype train take off. It was actually faster earlier on for me to transfer my BTC balance from cryptsy to Bter, buy on Bter - transfer it back and put it up for sale back on cryptsy where people were paying 4000 more than bter!
Im fairly sure no one even knows what theyre buying - people are entering random numbers in and hoping something sticks! When all the dust settles people are gonna sit back and think 'WTF why did i pay 3/5/10 times more than this was 14 hours ago' - at which point its gonna tumble.
Going up way too fast atm and its just chaos - did exactly the same the other week too and then collapsed.

Cryptsy is causing this caos, people are getting annoyed at their buy orders being missed so are entering higher number to try and get some. Quark will reach $1 and way beyond make no doubt about that but it needs a steady platform to trade from.

I say be prepared for a crash when people spend way more than they expected for the coins. It will raise again later but I see a decrease coming very soon, which I blame on Cryptsy.

Well I am going to try to sell ~900 QRK for 0.0003 and if it crashes I will rebuy 900 at the lower price and keep the BTC as pure profit.

Wish me luck.  Undecided

Does anyone happen to know a formula to calculate how long it would take on average to find a block at the difficulty X with hashingpower Y?

I have been trading quarks last week as well and rode the waves for a good profit, i imagine that i have a good feeling for how it works.
The push that started today feels very different, it has been going on all day and buying power is not centralized like last time.

I feel comfortable going to sleep staying in QRK for the night Smiley
I probably wont be trading away any QRK until the 20. or so.

i am not selling before 0.0005 . people tried to buy at 0.001. no way i am selling before 0.0005.

If there was no lag price would have been above that now...

I transferred a part of a BTC to pick up a few Quarks over at Cryptsy yesterday. Suffice to say I had to file a support ticket as there were like 8 confirmations on the blockchain and then finally it appeared on Cryptsy. The weird thing is it was confirmed completely from one minute to the next, where as nothing even showed prior to the Final confirmation. It probably was about 1.5 - 2 hours, which after seeing the replies here, wasn't terrible. Anyway I got in before the runnup as I bought in yesterday. Also, I put my order in at a bit above the price and instead of me getting the best price (which the pop up window said would happen), it appeared that the sell orders rose to meet me??? So much for that pop window.

I am curious, since the Quarks are mostly already mined, what will the incentive be to mine and or support the network? This is key going forward.
I can't argue with the obvious: Great development team, nice combination of security, faster transactions times, Keiser pump and BTCe soon to have it there.

It seems to me, that BTC being at near $1000 is partly responsible for this flood of money to the Cryptos. This isn't a bad thing as I see the Cryptos being organic and growing/interacting with one another.
But that said, if they (this one too) is too succeed, it will need a VERY strong network on which to run. e.g. BTC & LTC is all as far as I see.

IAS

BTC = Black Swan.
BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.

No, that's not how it works. People put in buy orders at 0.001 to be sure to get it at the highest sell order. It'd only matter if somebody put in a highest buy order to the amount of the entire sell list..

Can anyone even sell a bigger amount of Quark with issues on crypts right now? I'm not selling, i believe QRK is going to surprise big, but if someone wanted to sell big would he be able with all the lag?

Been waiting for like 3 hours. Think I am going to hold off and buy the Quark dip now. At least I got in yesterday at 9/10 cents.
