Can you please explain why we need another messenger ?

Why whatsapp, wechat, telegram, kick are not good ? Telegram and kick propose decentralized blockchain currency as well.

Different messengers, for different use cases. Personally i, don't like the idea of sharing eveything with unknown to me creators of different messengers. In the current state adamant have some flaws, but it is a prototype, and it will be better and better. I think that my data, must be mine. Governments seek your data, i can accept it, if they weren't in fact peoples with issues like other people have. But more to it, hundreds of companies also seek your data, to sell it, to monetize on it. Messenger creators, search engine trackers, everyone just want to sell you. "If you're not paying for the product, you are the product.".  I'm not telling that messengers you list are bad, they are good, great, i use many of them aside with adamant. Different instruments, for different purposes.

One silly question to consider -  How "Free Messenger" with no "Ads" and no "Store" can be profitable to pay costs of it's infrastructure?

What is the function of this project in the future? ADAMANT is not the first one to send information, NXT has a similar function.

Actually too many critics like "there are already many messengers, no one need new one!".
When Telegram appears, there were the same, "What?, another one, no one need it!".
People hate changes.
ADAMANT targets not everybody needs, but special category.

I am feeling really sorry if you see my posts that way, for I had no intention to bring yout project down, or screaming "don't need another app" from the top of my lung. All I intentioned is to point out what might be on readers mind that they're maybe too afraid to ask, or they're choose not to post either because they don't have an account here or they prefer posting is such a burdensome, and decide to leave their interest on this project because they can't find the info they seek, which is probably: what really differentiate you from other app? Why don't I just use this free app? What make adamant so special? And so on.

You have a table explaining this, I know, but I also know that there are a lot of questions that can't be answered by those tables. My question for instance. You are a paid service, and in my humble opinion, people would try to use alternatives, combining this free service plus that free method, trying this and that, before they decide (or learn) to try yours. My posts was intended to point out what's on customers mind, what they try to figure, and by your explanation, helps them to understand, or decide, or even compel them.

I actually still have some other questions to ask, another why-not-this-method-or-that-way posts, because after all, hey, I'm an ordinary user too, so probably what's on my mind is what on a lot of other people's mind too. But it's ok, now I am understand that this app is not for everybody.

Critics with arguments is always good. We understand that user always have choice, and we think that it must have it. Freedom is word that means a lot to us.
As i said, may be adamant is for paranoiacs, but if you have paranoia it doesn't mean that you are not watched.
We want to have right, to chose what to share with some unknown third parties and what not.  So this is one of the reasons we use adamant.
In some countries, what you right in chats with your friends, can be used to put you in prison, or make some offences to you.
You think that you are not needed by anyone, but after that they come for you. We want to protect such people. Give them choice.
We understand that users would like to try service first, so we credit each new wallet with bounty tokens, which  can be used to get acquainted with the messenger.

What is the function of this project in the future? ADAMANT is not the first one to send information, NXT has a similar function.
ADAMANT will be secure and anonymous messenger.
ADAMANT Business will be system for communications inside big organisation, with mutual settlements, document signing.

NXT has messaging function, but mainly it is decentralized app platform like ethereum. ADAMANT has other target auditory, and it is main purpose is communication. Also there is no 1000 byte limit.

Hello!

Block size: variative (not limited).
You cannot delete message history, as it is a blockchain. But you'll able to hide (close) it.

That's what I mean, if I close it, can somebody who logins with my passphrase open it and see all the messages?

Yes. As if someone login with you Bitcoin pass, he will transfer them from your wallet.

Yes. As if someone login with you Bitcoin pass, he will transfer them from your wallet.

Closing chat means client app will not allow you or someone to see message history, but messages will strore in the blockchain still.

Yes. As if someone login with you Bitcoin pass, he will transfer them from your wallet.

That's why you use bitcoin addresses only once. And you usually use an encrypted wallet, or a device like Trezor, or 2FA at least, so you don't have to type in your private key every time. But it is easy to intercept someone's passphrase, and after that, if there is some evidence - it's forever there for whoever wants to use it agains you.
