In-chat transfers for Binance Coin is now supported

In June ADAMANT Team had finished integration of Ether transfers In-Chat (https://medium.com/adamant-im/in-chat-transfers-for-ethereum-and-adamant-tokens-are-now-supported-69bd1256f2a5), and that was only a first step. Moving through the Roadmap, we’re happy to announce that the ADAMANT Messenger platform now supports in-chat Binance Coin transfers.

As well as in case of Ether transfers, BNB transfers are user-friendly and convenient. This simplistic feature should benefit even friends and relatives looking to send and receive secure and instant payments.

The ADAMANT team made a great work on the web application—it was updated to version 1.7.0.

We postpone the date of listing ADM on exchanges to the 4th quarter of 2018

The reason is simple — currently we consider the listing on exchange to be rather negative than positive thing. This is fair for our users and investors, and for the project as a whole.

We have the opportunity to be listed now; currently ADAMANT has more than 10 offers from the top 100 Coinmarketcap exchanges, and the price for listing of our project starts at 0.2 BTC. We are still receiving offers and choosing the best ones.
The listing “on some exchange” right now won’t bring any good to the project. Considering the recent general downfall on the cryptocurrency market, we can expect the ADM token’s price to go down if volumes are low. More than 95% tokens turned out to be unprofitable (considering the ICO price) according to icodrops.com/ico-stats data.

There is also a technical reason for the setback — ADM is not ERC20 token, and that makes the integration harder; many exchanges request a lot of additional juridical information.

The listing delay will affect all ADM token holders in a positive way. ADAMANT is one of rare examples where blockchain has real application. The team is constantly expanding: now we have 15 developers, and the messenger is actively gaining new features (see the recent support of Binance Coin transfers). We have enough money to continue development. There were over 100,000 created accounts. The Team is going to find new partners and investors before the listing and get even more users that way.

All this will positively affect the volumes and ADM token’s starting price in 4th quarter of 2018.

Of course, being behind the roadmap is unpleasant, but we first take into account the interests of investors and stability of the product and its development.

After that certain online media have published news: BNB tokens can be sent in chats. They put it in the same category with other news: about support BNB from crypto payment gateway CoinGate and global property store Propy.

ADAMANT team met security experts on the last meetup

Hi everybody!

Today we'll tell you about ADAMANT's meetup in September. We met world-known cybersecurity experts of Defence Group in Moscow City business center. Together we discussed possible vulnerabilities of ADAMANT as well as various topics on privacy and security.

If you follow us here on Medium, you already know that our team is distributed: many of our employees work remotely from different cities and even countries. We all share common virtual space but sometimes have live meetups as well where we get to know each other and have discussions. Each meetup is very unique since challenges are becoming more complex due to constant evolution of the project and expanding of our team.



September meetup represented a new phase for us. We discussed a lot of cybersecurity issues and conducted an audit of ADAMANT.

ADAMANT is a highly secure messenger

The cybersecurity tests are in process — we’re running our first security contest since the inner audit is successfully completed and now we need third party audits.

The experts noted some advantages of ADAMANT Messenger such as no phone number for «restoring access». We also discussed typical vulnerabilities of popular messengers and target audience of high privacy and security services.

ADM token price adjustment: Ethereum to Bitcoin

Starting from November 8, 2018 ADM’s price will be converted from ETH to BTC. You’ll see it on a purchase page: https://adamant.im/buy-tokens/.

We’re getting ready to enter a cryptocurrency market and the adjustment is a part of a process. ADAMANT will trade in ADM/BTC pair. Also, BTC has become more stable.

We created a small "test" to learn more about your knowledge of the ADAMANT project.

ADAMANT will appear on the chart which is being prepared by Binance cryptocurrency exchange. The chart includes all the projects which work with BNB – Binance’s tokens.

Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance, published drafts of these charts in his Twitter. He asked his followers which type do they like more (linear of circle) and wanted them to suggest some projects that perhaps were missed. ADAMANT was included in the first edition of the chart with note “Transfer funds”. Changpeng Zhao yet didn’t tell where this picture will be published.

We are continuing to work on making ADAMANT web application more stable and convenient. We have developed a new function “Health check” in the new version of application, PWA 1.7.1. Now you can view node list and choose ones by yourself.

- Connect to trustworthy nodes to mare extra level of your privacy.

Thanks for the feedback. We have already done a post about it, I will give it below. We want investors to make money. If we just fulfilled our obligations, then many would be at a loss. Cryptoactives were in the fall. Now everything is starting to grow. In such a market to appear on crypto-exchanger much better.

ADAMANT is working on a perfect 2FA solution

Usually, when people come across “two-factor authentication”, they think of emails, one-time passwords (OTPs) and SMS codes. In fact, two-factor authentication or 2FA means any way of enhancing security using not only passwords but other methods as well. The main goal of 2FA is adding extra protection to your account.

If you enter both a password and an OTP to log in your online bank account, this is 2FA. Other widespread examples such as fingerprint scans and screen patterns on smartphones, passwords and encryption keys for crypto marketing, are probably familiar to you as well.

2FA: look before you leap

In theory, all the mentioned above ways of securing sensitive information are quite solid. However, our expectations often differ from reality. That is to say, many up-to-date 2FA solutions have serious flaws.

The first flaw is the inconvenience. The more inputs the user makes to log in, the more cumbersome 2FA becomes. If there is a possibility to use an app or service without 2FA, people will likely do so. For instance, Google launched 2FA in 2011. However, less than 10% of consumers use it today. Forcing users to adopt the 2FA system is not an option, as they will probably just switch to a different and more convenient service.

The second flaw is the vulnerability. Many so-called “second factors” can be phished. 2FA often inspires a certain trust in its methods, which makes people set weak passwords. In this case, cybercriminals can easily take over an account.

One of the most vulnerable second factors existing is an SMS verification code. NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) states that this security method is unsafe due to serious flaws in SS7 (Signaling System 7).

Many popular second factors have other disadvantages. It often takes time to receive an SMS or email with a verification code and sometimes you do not get one at all. If you lose your phone, you will not get access to your account (e.q. Google Authenticator system). Moreover, these second factors are often costly and unreliable. Not mentioning that some of them can be used on certain devices only.

Blockchain is the answer

The ADAMANT team develops an exceptional 2FA solution based on blockchain. It is a cheaper, safer and more solid option any other known security methods. ADAMANT messenger is an alternative to regular second factors.

With ADAMANT 2FA, you can use existing and well-tested libraries. The system works just the way you got used to it in other services, except that you will receive codes via ADAMANT messenger rather than SMS or emails.

The messages are encrypted, so that no third parties can take over, read or implement them. Code’s delivery is always verified in blockchain. Each code request is rated as a regular ADAMANT message and costs only 0.001 ADM (approx. 0.00025 USD). Moreover, you can receive a code via PC, tab, smartphone or laptop – just make sure you are connected to the Internet (your service needs it anyway).

ADAMANT 2FA is suited for any Internet-related service, such as crypto exchanges, online-banks, and email. In order to activate 2FA, you need neither your phone number nor your personal information but an account’s identifier. As soon as you enter your identifier, you will receive a message in ADAMANT, containing a verification code. This will activate 2FA. Hereafter, you will get a verification code via ADAMANT messenger every time you wish to sign in this service.
