I deleted the blockchain, added the suggested nodes and I am attempting to resync. Stuck at 6084 like everyone else.
delete the blockchain and fire up 1.0 or 1.1 and see if you get further than 6084 I pulled 1.2 from github and I don't have the source for 1.0 or 1.1 anymore. Does anyone have a link to 1.0 or 1.1 source? I think I have 1.1 or 1.0. I pulled the zip from my garbage can, and it doesn't identify the version. Compile it and check the version. If it isn't 1.2, can you post it somewhere? Check your PM. ALIEN: It unsynced back ~25 blocks. I'll switch to 1.2 in a few.

What is the current block height for the correct chain?

Ok, I clean out everything but wallet and conf. I start 1.0 and it syncs up for a few minutes then jumps back about ~25 blocks. If I switch to 1.2 at this point, it stays there. If I clean-start 1.0, and as soon as it syncs, close it and switch to 1.2, then 1.2 syncs. I just solo-mined a block. Of course, every. single. time. I say it's syncs, then hit the POST button here, it unsyncs. My conf: rpcuser=xxxxxx rpcpassword=xxxxxx listen=1 daemon=1 server=1 rpcport=16282 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 addnode=24.6.21.198 addnode=46.150.89.173 addnode=64.120.17.149 addnode=70.29.193.48 addnode=125.79.142.201 { "blocks" : 8614, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.94503007, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 35124020, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

My block didn't actually show up in my wallet, but I'll rescan later, I'm just going to stay synced on the blockchain for now. I guess the secret is you have to switch from 1.0 to 1.2 while you're synced, and hope no one finds a block while you're switching.
It's keeping up with new blocks.
{ "blocks" : 8617, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 1.11602125, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 42613200, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }
This is more like the hedge maze in The Shining than a fork.

1.2 is still not syncing
I've stayed synced. The couple blocks I've mined appear to be orphans, but I can send money to myself. I've sinces set my router to DMZ and I have 21 connections, before it was ~7. I'll feel better when I actually get a block that sticks. Here's what I did: 1. Delete everything but conf and wallet.dat. 2. Run 1.0 and wait until it syncs. 3. When it syncs, immediately switch to 1.2. 4. When 1.2 loads, it should still be synced, if not, I guess someone got a block while you were switching and you have to start over. That's what worked for me. I posted my conf file previously. I'm here now: { "blocks" : 8661, "currentblocksize" : 1611, "currentblocktx" : 2, "difficulty" : 0.67596002, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 22662274, "pooledtx" : 2, "testnet" : false }I've restarted and rescanned, and it stays synced, but I haven't left the wallet closed to get many blocks behind.

I'm back on 1.0 and only synced to block 8562. It's been running for a while. I guess I'll see if it ever catches up and try to switch over to 1.2 again. I thought it was synced earlier and switched to 1.2, but it didn't keep sync. If anyone has any PHS they want to sell PM me.

I lost ~100 coins, I don't know if that has anything to do with anything. The log file is still a wall of errors, but they could be "normal" errors. { "blocks" : 8668, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.51186022, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 16469643, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }Things appear back to normal for me. I'd send you the blockchain but I'm on Windows and I don't think they'd work. I just mined 0.26 PHS, so it's staking, but it hasn't been confirmed and I'm going to bed. Can't wait to see what horrors await tomorrow.

Wanted to say stake is now generating on 1.2 again...
I do have the complete block chain for windows if someone wants/knows how to use the blk files to get caught up

thanks, it works but two things: 1.when you download from mediafire, a malware popup is displayed when you click the link 2.client still gets stuck trying to download more blocks
