If you don't invest more than you can afford to lose, "risky" is a completely irrelevant concept.

Why it's risky, if you choose a stable type of ether or Litecoin, then there is virtually no risk. But if you certainly invest in pumps, then the result will be deplorable, so you need to diversify to reduce regret.

Litecoin is a good stable coin, but everything depends of the price of Bitcoin. Besides of this reason I think that it is better to hold a big part of your holdings on Bitcoin and a low amount in alt coins.

All depends in which coin you invested. But in any case, it's safer to split your investment into few parts, than you will not regret if the price will dump.
You are still regret even though you have split the investment accordingly. But at least, you have something to recover your losses if any.

There are people that are crazy to put all of his/her money in 1 altcoin, the outcome is 50:50 where if he wins he could have bigger rewards than anyone else and vice versa. But, for regular trader, you shouldn't become like that and try to stay at the safe zone if possible.

On my wallet, with the market of today, all investments have lost more than 80 percent, my patience still allows me to enter the wallet without valerian, but faith is strong! Wink

the $500 is not a lot of numbers. even if you lose it all, your life will not be affected. you can bet once and follow your instincts. good luck. u can put it on STAR. I have studied it for a long time. i think it is a dark horse.

Yes it's to risky because you don't know if that token or project will succeed try to invest 2 or 3 maybe so you can wait on 2 or 3 price in market place and prevent regrets.

Bitcoin is the parent of the price of altcoins, of course it is natural that litecoin prices are very dependent on the price of bitcoin, but I do not like that it only relies on one coin so it is preferable to share money in many places.

It is a big risk to go all in.

How much you have to invest is not really important for that decision, you should always diversify a bit even if you start with $50.

I suggest you to split in 3, for something a bit safe $200 in BTC then $150 in 2 others projects.

or you can try something like this :

$200 in BTC
$150 in STRAT
$75 in an other project
$75 in an other project
Very precise. I agree with you. Need to be divided for all coins that have the most frequently used qualities. If only 1 coin is used to invest it is very detrimental, it will cause losses. It's better to be wise in investing. Because investing is very risky.

Having one coin or putting a lot of our asset in one coin is more risky but more profitable too if luck strike, but I think before we invest we already know the behavior of crypto that we gamble the destiny of our investment for we don't know the outcome, besides of that doubt I believe the opportunity to earn money out of altcoin is more possible.

If the cryptocurrency is stable now, I do not think that there is anything to be afraid of. But of course it is better to store funds in several currencies.

I think if you are sure of one coin, why not, because with you buying only one coin will make you get a lot of profits if you buy with large capital

Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks

I believe yes, it would be too risky for you to try since you are entrusting your earnings in a single altcoin. What if it fails? You might lose all your money as well. You better look for another altcoins to invest with or try to find another remedy just to assure that you'll still gain anything.

Yeah I would spread money over more coins, it's always better to be diversified in case if you chosen one performs very badly. But I hope all the best for your investment!

Yes it is very risky, you should reconsider doing so otherwise you might regret it later. As much as possible lets try to avoid going all in, just like what the pro always does, "never put all eggs in one basket" and I believe this one. Though if you're a risk taker then by all means go all in, just never invest something you can never ever afford to lose.

There are no projects that I can "completely" trust in this market. So, yes very risky. You should diversify your portfolio with at least two or three different altcoins.

Yes, i agree we don't have any belief in the projects because after crowdsale many companies are taking time to develop beyond the mentioned dates and this makes us to risky. So it is always good not to invest in single crypto for making money.

theoretically what you are doing is very risky. It's just that you have said that you are very confident in the project. surely in making a decision, you have considered everything, and even though you share your money in several altcoins it is also very risky. Because the crypto world is a risky but highly prospective

I do not think it would be dangerous if you believed it. You will get great profit in the future if you think it increases. But to prevent danger, you should place orders against holes. That command will be great for you if your altcoin value goes down and you will not have to worry too much about it.
