in this market yes it is very risky to put all of your money in one altcoin because no matter the current market cap of the coin an instantaneous decrease in value is always a possibility so yeah spread in your investment is a better option

Ofcourse it is so risky. When you invest in one variety of altcoin, you have so tiny chance to earn money from it. If you invest in more than one company, you have better chanse to win.

It is better to invest in 10 different cryptocurrencies than in one, so there will be a much greater chance that several cryptocurrencies will grow in price than one.

No way Jose . Don’t fall in love with just one project spread out your investments you never know what couls happen to that single coin . Find the best projects you did a research on 5 coins and invest 200$ on each and wait and see what happens

Come on, to find these best 5 coins on the market, you need to analyse and research thousands of them! Not so easy, as it can make you mad, so it's OK to start with one coin and then to add something else to your portfolio. I guess most of as started with BTC as our first coin.

Even 5 altcoins will be not enough for the person who is going to trade or who wants to get more profits. I hold about 16 tokens and Bitcoin. Pay attention to Komodo, Ontology, Cardano.

The risk is a bit bigger, but I don't think it's a big problem. I reckon the investment strategy with less capital and sufficient funds is different. So i dont suggest to diversify investment when the capital you use to invest only a little bit.

great choice actually. I didn't know about komodo, but when I read more about team and their activity( one of the biggest in github) I realised that komodo would be huge. Cardano very promising project , but now I think they should show more to the community.
Ontology still not bad.
Anyway at this moment investing just to one altcoin isn't risky. This is pure suicide.

Yes.. It's so risky. I will split and allocated in 5 altcoins. Because we don't know the altcoin where you invest is good or not.

Nobody tests the depth of a river with both legs, No financial adviser will tell you to dip in with all you have into a single investment. Crypto investment on it's own is a very high risk one, then investing in a singe crypto is more deadly, the chances are always 50 50..

Yes it's too risky to put all money in just one coin,  you can loose it all within a blink of an eye,  the best thing to do is just to diversify your portfolio

All the money in one cryptocurrency is definitely a mistake. It's like betting on red or black at a roulette casino. You take a big risk. I advise you to refrain from this strategy. Better buy different cryptocurrencies and keep an eye on the growth/fall rates, so less risk.

It really is a risky move. not all altcoins would be good for long term holding since most of it are only best for short term holding due to the increase in their market value in just a short period of time. If you are into altcoin, it is more advisable to hold as many as you can to have a bigger possibility of earning profit.

It doesn't matter how much money you have 500,1000 or $ 10,000, investing in one coin is too risky. And in general, you need to diversify your investments. Of course, if you just decided to allocate $ 500 for the experiment and after you lose your money, you will not be upset, then go ahead.

Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks

I think you should invest in different altcoin rather than investing your money all in one altcoin. When it comes to investing, savvy money managers advise that you spread your money around that is to diversify your investments. Diversification protects you from losing all your assets in a market swoon. The sharp decline in stock prices in recent years are proof enough that putting all your eggs in one basket is a risky strategy.  It is safer and more advantageous compare to giving all in to just one. It that sense you can have a big chance of profit if the other is failing.

Of course it is much risky, why you are doing this? You can divide them to 4-5 project and this is better than allin to just one project, if one of them drops much maybe another one increases and your portfolio balance itself.

Strategic investment is the key to success. It is a necessary and sufficient condition to succeed in crypto. If you invest all the $ 500 in an Altcoin it's not a risk that you're choosing the right Altcoin. If you choose Altcoin that is listed on the coinmartketcap i think it is safe i can take for example: As XLM now you keep them years later when you are millionaire dollar.

Honestly, it all depends on what coin you hold your investment in. If it's Elastos, you have nothing to worry about, my friend.

I wonder what your experiment came up with investing in one coin. I think it was a stupid idea to invest in one project. But I want to hear your feedback

Split your investment into different altcoins to bring more profit in your wallet. If only one coin it is huge risks the more it losing you. Best is to invest in different project were profitable.
