I made an experiment and recorded my trading with 2 portfolios: short and long term. I traded for 3 months and now I can make some intermediate conclusions. Short term trading gained me more than 1300% while long term gained only 260%. So for me it's obvious that short term is much better, but it takes more time, analysis and monitoring.

I prefer long-term investments. I tried short-term investments, but I did not succeed, so I focused on long-term investments.  Smiley

Yes in long term investment in both bitcoin and ethereum you will definitely without doubt get a good profit in both currencies and tension in long term investment is also less

In short term investment there is no big profit will come and the rate changing tension will come in our mind.

So i prefer long term investment is the best investment for all investors.

if you are a person who can read the movement of the market and graphics and volume, you can use short-term. but if you want to invest in the long term use long-term.

Long term is less risky, guaranteed return with great capital gains.Short term are more risky (Risk of losing your principle investment),Less gain.Trading is better.Does not necessarily mean short term like 5 minutes.Just timing the pump and dump.

I have more than 80% of my portfolio long term holds or investments. I dont bother to hold them for one or two years simply because I am sure that they will be great and also price will increase.. 20% is for active trading every week or some quick flips/bounces. The gains I am making in active trading I am reinvesting back into crypto and this goes on and on. Sometimes I cash out some small amounts if I want to buy something expensive or want to travel but thats really rare

Long term is more advisable. In this one we might gain more money and it is also trusted

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

I personally reserve at least 20% of the reserve funds, they may be bitcoin or cash. Second, 40% is a very long-term investment, 30% is for short-term investment and 10% is for high-risk investment Grin

I think there is a reasonable investment structure is still very necessary to avoid risks and increase revenue, short-term investment is to keep their working conditions and the momentum of progress

Strategy really differs and it also depend on the amount you can afford to lose or to risk, when you have a bigger capital you can diversify
your investment into short term and long term, that is because both are profitable but setting a long term goal should have a specific target, otherwise
you are putting your investment in a big risk.

All coins have been dumped.
As a long term investor, I am worried, but I will hold all my coins.
I believe this is just one of the corrections.

I only put low percentage for short term investment since it bears high level of risk, and that was before since I only had few return to none. Long term investment on the other hand has a higher percentage of profit plus low risk of lossing your investment. But I guess 90% of people who had been holding for a long time were sucessfuly gain large amount of profit.

When it comes to trading I always do a short term trade ,
I like to buy some alt-coin while it is pumping up and take my profit even if it is just 5-10%,
Yeah I know there is a high chance that I could lose my money but I am risking it on the coins that I think that would be pump up in the next couple of hours or days.

Both long term or short term it is very profitable. It all depends on the trader. If you want instant profits then use short-term investments. but the results obtained not as big on the investment in the long term. but all definitely has its own risks. And if you're still a beginner I recommend for trading long term because the risks are fewer than on the short term that require expertise

I think it's better to choose in the long term, the example is like you buy bitcoin, wait until a long time, and you will get a stunning advantage. if you use a short term, choose a trusted altcoin, otherwise you will experience a huge loss if its value goes down.

Long term trade is more like direct investment and holding. It's not like trading actually. The actual trade is consisting of short term trade. If you can do it well, prefer short term trade instead of long term maybe.

I think it's long term that has big advantages and very little risk. If for the short term I think it will incur too many losses. That's your choice. Open up your thoughts so you can know which one is the best.

In my portfolio handling, I will choose bitcoin as a long-term investment because I'm sure bitcoin will continue to persist and increase. While in short-term investments I chose to start with altcoin that provides benefits in the short term. The risk of long-term investment is when crypto prices are destroyed, while short-term investments have less risk than long-term.
