THE smallest portion of your portfolio should be risked for short term . maybe 20% as the small term projects are less profitable and are a one time thing. Long term investments should dominate your profile, with lots of potential having currencies. Risk highest with high reward expectation

I think investing isn't a get rich quick tactic or something you can do for a short period of time and expect to make a significant amount of money. It's often a long-term process, one that requires patience, commitment, and keeping calm when the market fluctuates.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?
I hold btc and eth for long term because they are reliable for us to make more money. As for others, I will hold them fro short term and sell them soon when they can bring me 200%-400% profit.

I will hold my coins for long term. Maybe i will keep 70% to 80% of my coins. Ill try to sell the remaiming coins and try to continious buy low price then sell at high price until the price becomes stable. At this rate, i may have small profit at a short period of time. Ill continiously do it until the price is enough to give me 200% profit and ill sell all my coins.

Yes, this is a justified strategy under the current conditions. To sell coins in a falling market is not very pleasant. Depending on the situation, you can sell a little more coins in a short period of time, if the price is high enough, but the main investment is better done on a long-term periute.  Smiley

If not where not to work except for the exchange then short is good. Well, if there is no time, of course, long.

What can be bought for this coin. If the answer is ALMOST NOTHING, then it is a short term investment.
If the answer looks like a list, it can be considered as a long-term investment.

it depends on mkt conditions, but broadly speaking, 60 long-term, 40 short-term.

This is partially due to the fact that I dun have enough time to day-trade etc.

I propose long-term investments in these times of the market. if you have the money that you can not risk or risk to raise for a short period of time, then you can make a pawn after a downfall, but you will definitely win in the long run

Hold any of my coin for long term because of the fact that by holding coin for long you get good profit from it. Short term investment is majorly for the day traders and they are satisfy with any profit from it, but for me long term is the best because you can get considerable amount of profit.

this is based on what I did
short term = day trading : can earn small amount in a matter of 10 buy and selling 6 of it had me failed and my earnings loose a little bit or sometimes even more, also time consuming

long term = holding for a month I think : can earn big if you got a good valueble have potenatial coin. much smaller risk of failure.
time consuming if you will think but if you will not be paranoid it will not.

after I do this I think long term is best. I am now holding ripple and stoped day trading because ripple are so hyped and I know ripple have future.
do your own research of course of those coins you want to hold or invest happy earning
Since we dont know when the value of coins goes down or up some of us are choosing  short term because theywant to get profit immediately than taking the risk of long term even they know they can possible to get more profit in long term. But for me i do short term if the value is increasing and do long term when the value decrease, and wait to rise again.

Market price volatility has a big effect on long term or short term investment. If your a day trader then you should be a short term investor then if your holding your tokens or coins for more than a month then you are a long term investor. But any other way we should consider that whatever you are, whether long term or short term investor your aware of any risk.

Short-term and long-term are risky, short-term risk such as:
- difficult to grasp the market,
-when buying it too high will be challenging to make a profit if it goes down.
Long-term solves the risks that short-term has but the waiting time is long if you set high goals.

if you analyze it well I think,
short term and long term is no problem,
because coins and tokens will be predictable from his company

Your tactic is very important. There are coins that bring you long-term profit, and there are other currencies that are considered stable, which do not have large fluctuations and automatically bring long-term profit. I believe that patience is very important in the cryptocurrency market, so I am a long-term profit-maker. However, no one guarantees an increase in the price of a long-term currency.

Even if you hold long the coins it has a chance to get dump so I better stick to scalping or short terms. Because we won't know when will the next market crash will be Cheesy
