Zcash 870 Eth 1178
Makes profits look really appealing. Wish I could get some more cards.
Yeah... all good mining cards are now gone from primary markets. Looks like a few 4GB 570s around but I don't want to invest anything less than 8GB at this point in order to future proof. It's one thing running 24x 470 4GBs... which are amazingly still very profitable... but anything I build from here on out will be 8GB and up only. Still need to get an electrician out to assess my house's capacity. I have 4 1070ti's ready to build and a 3x Vega rig already built but not running for fear of blowing up my house lol. I also have 1 measly MSI 570 8GB that I somehow got for $300 a few days ago. Ideally, if my house can handle it, would like to get 2 more Vega's and 2 more GTX... either 1070ti or 1080... and then possibly 5 more 570 8GB. But at this point, that is impossible, so will just concentrate on hopefully getting those Vega & 1070ti rigs up with 7 total cards and then see what happens with the market. Sorry, but I refuse to pay 2-3x retail for these things... even with the insane current profits. I sincerely hope some heads are gonna roll and both AMD and Nvidia over the 2nd horrendous under-call of demand in the space of 8 months!

@ citronick what's your opinion on moving a couple dozen from BTC into ETH
Thinking about diversifying my portfolio a little bit but not sure if I want to eat the fees or just keep it all BTC.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of putting together a second rig based on AMD gpu's and I have the option to pick up the following GPU's from my local store:
- MSI RX 570 4GB Armor : $265 - ASUS Dual RX 580 4GB : $310 - SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 570 8GB : $355 - MSI RX 580 ARMOR OC 8GB : $345
Thinking of buying 6 gpu's, what would you recommend me to go with ? I keep on reading recommendations to go for 8GB but wondering if the price difference is worth it
Thanks

Personally, I have heard mostly bad things about the Armor cards, which is likely why they are one of the few models of 570s left available at this point. The ASus 4GB is probably ok if you are willing to risk building with 4GB cards. Nobody knows for sure when but 4GB cards are likely to start having issues mining ETHash relatively soon. Something to do with the increasing DAG size I think but dont quote me on that. From your list, the best by far IMO is the Nitro 8GB. If you can really get them at $355, I would buy as many as possible as quickly as possible since I doubt they will be around much longer, esp at that price. In fact, if your source happens to have more than you need, please shoot me in PM as I would immediately buy up to 5 at that price. Good luck with your build!

Thinking about diversifying my portfolio a little bit but not sure if I want to eat the fees or just keep it all BTC.
Currently, my Gemini account is 30% BTC, 30% ETH and 40% USD$ I have also Binance and Bittrex trading accounts... for about 12 more alts. Diversity is key to growing wealth. The Citronick System: Every Monday - I see if BTC or ETH is high enough so that I can sell. If NO - do nothing. Every Friday - I see if BTC or ETH is low enough so that I can buy. If NO - do nothing. At the moment, BTC dipped below 15,900$ support -- so I will buy. ETH is strong at 1225$ ATH and the rally since weekend show a lot of accumulation --- so I will sell. RINSE and REPEAT.

The last few GPUs that I have are 1060 ZOTAC Minis (not mining cards) -- 30 of them still unboxed! Previous GPU expansion funds, we ordered Baikal Giant-Bs instead of 1070ti, 1080ti. No choice but wait for the Voltas to make an appearance. My deposit is already with supplier to ensure I get a few Voltas when they come out.

Why dont you remote access your rigs since you are on Windows. I use Teamviewer and also TightVNC.

I've only used my electrum wallet a few times, just copy the amount and address into it was all i had to do.
there is this note on top of the Bitcointalk page ... I think you need to be careful if you are using Electrum "News: ♦ Critical vulnerablity in Electrum; SHUT DOWN ELECTRUM IMMEDIATELY and upgrade. Other clients are fine. More info." https://news.bitcoin.com/electrum-moves-to-patch-bug-that-left-thousands-of-bitcoin-wallets-exposed/

I have 2 of the 6 x onda. I am running 6 x rx570 and on the other 4 x vega 56 and 2 x rx580. Been running them for a few weeks. A pain to setup but all good once they are set. I am waiting on some gtx cards so would like to know also.
