imagine what the ASICS are gonna do to things like ETC, and the non-conformative forks of XMR that will be suddenly created and kept alive by people who fear change....

I wonder which way it will go with the ASIC and ETC.....

between private mining softwares and private asics & fpgas hard to know which is real...

When the people of the world will get that covid was intentionally released to frame china, steal the election from trump, assure massive bail outs and foster the forced vaccination agendas...they will forget, like 911, wmds in irak, uss liberty or pedogate.

Well I had a fun day yesterday..

Got a telegram alert that All my systems went down.
So I take a trip over there which is only like 10mins.
When I get there I notice the dsl box next to road..
It’s in about million pieces. So I’m like oh shit we had a thunderstorm
Come through Florida last night. I run inside start checking everything.
So I find plastic pieces everywhere of what was my modem/router..
I don’t know how but only the modem was taken in the storm.
Here was the fun part.. trying to convince CenturyLink my internet provider
That their dsl box was destroyed and it took the modems with it. After a two
Hour phone call. They finally sent someone out to check on it and see what the
Problem was. So the technician said he thinks the problem is the dsl box by the road ..
So I laugh the tec laughs and amazons Alex laughs... so everything is all good again..

wow.... reminds me of my fried 56.6kbps modem during a thunderstorm.

A bolt of thunder can travel through the phone lines...

I wonder if the same for fiber broadband?

Meanwhile, Pigeons fought with Ravens, and stole 2 of my 1080ti rigs for giggles....

This is a pretty bold move, even for just 2 of your rigs.   Shocked

Wow, I'm not exactly sure if this video is 100% legit,
but it seems that the Antminer F3 is already there hashing Ethereum.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9L-1iG6mdJ8

If you search back a few months ago, i posted that MiningPoolHub emailed me informing me of the Antminer F3 already showing up as a miner on their pool in this thread

But in what quantity?
A few engineering test units? Not at all hard to picture.

Large quantities of production units? Bitmain prefers the rapid high profits of SELLING miners to mining with them as a general rule as they make MORE in a year that way by a wide margin.

Lightning does wierd stuff sometimes.
Or your modem had a GOOD ground that protected past it.

Fibre optics are an insulator, lightning CAN'T travel along them.
Cross-ocean stuff does a "high voltage power line" through the MIDDLE of their fiber lines to be able to power the in-line repeaters, using the fibre optics parts as part of the INSULATION for that HV power line (in effect if not specifically by design).

Anyone else noticed that Phil and I are rated for more "coins" than the probable number of altcoins that exist, with -ck pretty close to that as well?

8-O

Any of the raven miners here using HIVE and amd (rx 570) cards?

I'm getting pretty garbage numbers ( 120kh/S per card)

I went back to stock bios. I'm using miningpanda pool.

I'm going to switch pools and maybe even try using SMOS( first time) to see if I can get better result.

I'd rather find a solution than abandon mining the coin. Any suggestions would be great

since x16r uses a bunch of algos;   and generally nvidia cards get better hashrates on most algos compared to amd;  expect poor performance on AMD cards for these intensive type algos....  from what ive heard, AMd cards arent optimized well for X16r.

on a 1070 and 980, I am seeing roughly 15-22Mh average.

Link to my batch and script resources here.

You should be able to get 5.5 Mh/s or better with your Rx 570s on stock bios and stock clocks. Use the sgminer version that is listed in the OP of the Raven Coin thread.

I'll check that out. Those are the numbers I was expecting, probably shouldn't have switched to a new OS and coin in the same go. Thanks

EDIT: Calling it for the night, could not get sgminer to launch properly on Windows for the life of me. Kept saying sgminer.exe isn't a recognized command, or something or other, to late tonight, try again tomorrow

Code:
C:\Windows\system32>sgminer.exe -k x16r -o stratum+tcp://miningpanda.site:3666 -u RTpXMvaesBGfDCc6whzu2GoxzMJuvBGSJL -p x --gpu-platform 1 -I 18
'sgminer.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

This is most likely because sgminer isn't located in the c:\windows\system32 directory (nor should it be); change to the directory where you put sgminer.exe and then try running it.  Wink

or it had something deleted  due to a virus protection software.

I have a folder on my desktop {Mining software} I exclude it from all virus software.

in that folder is a second folder I call it {nested software}   i exclude it from all virus software.

and in that folder I have all my mining software folders that double nested folder seems to prevent any bullshit from windows defender tor any other virus protection software

Add these parameters to the "Extra Config Section" for SGMiner in Hive:

"worksize":"256"
"gpu-threads":"2"
"intensity":"20"

YMMV.

What I think the problem is;  if you run as administrator, you will be executing commands in the batch from c:/windows/system32

thus, you need to make sure your batch is as follows:

Path:to/miner/minerapp.exe -commands

or it will think 'minerapp.exe' is in c:/windows/system32

Well I feel dumb Grin

This solved my issue, for whatever reason last night I didn't try just running it not as administrator. As soon as I read it I facepalmed.

Anyways running now as expected.

@phillip, The ravens have answered your prayers: https://github.com/RavenProject/Ravencoin/blob/master/roadmap/README.md

Their plan is to swap algos which is just as good as anything Smiley However sooner or later we will be seeing FPGAs or even ASICs where they can remotely update the firmware with new algos, remove algos, etc... So the cat and mouse game is on. I am happy with where this is heading!
