It's fun mining these little guys

I put up a P2Pool if anyone needs to connect

http://zetacoin.us:17335

Point your miner to IP address zetacoin.us on port 17335.
Username is your ZET address and password is anything.

Let's give it a try and boost with 4.4GH/s  Grin

Been mining for ~20 min and haven't had any payouts. Seems all ZET p2pools are like this for me...No payouts.

I'm showing 100 shares in bfgminer and nothing in my wallet yet.

Here is my string:

bfgminer.exe -o http://zetacoin.us:17335 -u Zatrs7mcpmuZjtZcJQCsuKid1VXFimSXNZ -p asdf -S all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 -G

Anything wrong? Huh

::Wonders what Giskard was thinking when he named it Zetacoin::::

How do you market something such as Zeta...maybe promoting that it is the end of alt-coins. No need to create any more. Zeta is here.

Lots of negative hits in google on the word Zeta, so need to start  spinning it.

ZET is not to bad to promote. It is easy to promote and sounds like something that would come in a shiny box.

Hey how many ZET is that?

If so, what about the payouts is in question?

Thanks for the fast reply. But no luck, same error.

Could it be the problem zetacoin-qt is 32-bit maybe?
Anyone know how to compile from the source?

Above post has all the details. If you want and quick and easy way, just copy and paste these:

For QT (GUI wallet):
Code:
cd ~
sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev libminiupnpc-dev git
git clone https://github.com/zetacoin/zetacoin.git
cd zetacoin
qmake
make

Will take a while depending on your specs. If you just want the command line version of the client instead of the GUI:
Code:
cd ~
sudo apt-get install build-essential libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev libminiupnpc-dev git
git clone https://github.com/zetacoin/zetacoin.git
cd zetacoin/src
make -f makefile.unix

signed up last night with http://zet.dsync.net/ mined a little bit, pointed miners else where for the night, then pointed them back this morning. checked back almost 2 hours later and balance is still zero?

i read that new accounts won't be getting paid, does this affect accounts created 12hours ago?
I have just narrowed it down to a problem that happened around 8:00pm est. any accounts created after that time has been effected. I am currently working on resolving this issue, but until then I have a EU server you can use. I apologize for the inconvenience. To recieve more updated information please join our chatroom @ irc.freenode.net #zetacoin.

Another weird thing is the eu server does not share its users db with the us server.  Many pools have server-us and server-eu and they share accounts.  I just pointed my miner to the eu server because the us one kept coming up as "dead" in cgminer, then went to log in on the eu one and couldnt.  I signed up again there and was pleasantly surprised to see my hashes being counted, but was unable to claim the worker id of the machine that was already hashing.

I have not setup the database to connect with each other to share accounts. that is in the works. find me in the chat irc.freenode.net #zetacoin and i'll get the worker name fixed up for you.

in the mean time I was able to repair the bug and test the system. everything is working correctly on the US server.

US zet.dsync.net - Online
EU zeta.dsync.net - Online

I have lowered the fees for both servers. enjoy

Hum, nobody likes my suggested layout??? No one says something about it..... Sad Sad Sad Sad

Zetacoin
SHA256 based crypto currency
Quick transactions
Quick difficulty adjustment

Specifications

No Premine
Based on latest Bitcoin 0.8.99 source
Block target: 30 seconds (20x Bitcoin)
Difficulty retargets every 4 blocks based on last 90 blocks (Quick difficulty readjustment)
Block reward: 1000 ZET, halving every 80640 blocks (about 1 month), not dropping below 1 ZET (inflationary)
Total coin supply: 160 million ZET + small yearly inflation
160 million coins will be mined in around first year
Thereafter around 1 million per year (inflationary). This small inflation is a better incentive to keep the network hashing than purely transaction fees.
