signed up last night with http://zet.dsync.net/ mined a little bit, pointed miners else where for the night, then pointed them back this morning. checked back almost 2 hours later and balance is still zero?

i read that new accounts won't be getting paid, does this affect accounts created 12hours ago?
I have just narrowed it down to a problem that happened around 8:00pm est. any accounts created after that time has been effected. I am currently working on resolving this issue, but until then I have a EU server you can use. I apologize for the inconvenience. To recieve more updated information please join our chatroom @ irc.freenode.net #zetacoin.

Another weird thing is the eu server does not share its users db with the us server.  Many pools have server-us and server-eu and they share accounts.  I just pointed my miner to the eu server because the us one kept coming up as "dead" in cgminer, then went to log in on the eu one and couldnt.  I signed up again there and was pleasantly surprised to see my hashes being counted, but was unable to claim the worker id of the machine that was already hashing.

I have not setup the database to connect with each other to share accounts. that is in the works. find me in the chat irc.freenode.net #zetacoin and i'll get the worker name fixed up for you.

in the mean time I was able to repair the bug and test the system. everything is working correctly on the US server.

US zet.dsync.net - Online
EU zeta.dsync.net - Online

I have lowered the fees for both servers. enjoy

Hum, nobody likes my suggested layout??? No one says something about it..... Sad Sad Sad Sad

Zetacoin
SHA256 based crypto currency
Quick transactions
Quick difficulty adjustment

Specifications

No Premine
Based on latest Bitcoin 0.8.99 source
Block target: 30 seconds (20x Bitcoin)
Difficulty retargets every 4 blocks based on last 90 blocks (Quick difficulty readjustment)
Block reward: 1000 ZET, halving every 80640 blocks (about 1 month), not dropping below 1 ZET (inflationary)
Total coin supply: 160 million ZET + small yearly inflation
160 million coins will be mined in around first year
Thereafter around 1 million per year (inflationary). This small inflation is a better incentive to keep the network hashing than purely transaction fees.

At the current diff, how many blocks per day should I expect to find if I were to solo mine with 1Gh/s?  (I know, luck effects variance, so I'm just looking for a ball-park estimate)...

Difficulty fluctuates a lot, but assuming it averages at about 10,000 Diff, you'll find about 2 a day according to most calcs (try https://bitclockers.com/calc and just change the numbers to zetacoin's block reward, difficulty, etc.)

Cool so... someone with an eruptor could mine about 4700 ZET between now and the next difficulty increase (21 days?)
and then a further 3122 ZET in the next 28 days after that, and then 1561 ZET in the 28 days after that?

Probably not. The difficulty is retargeted much more quickly than that. You're thinking of the block reward.

Yeah, now that it's on Coinchoose, the profitability of mining ZET will always be about the same as mining BTC. With lots of statistical noise obviously because of its quick re target, and profitability jumpers. I just keep the ZET I mine and believe it'll be worth more in the future. It's worked thus far.

EDIT: Oh, I think you might be referring to the reward halving. Yes, if the difficulty remained exactly the same. But the difficulty will keep changing in accordance to profitability.
