More than 100 people, from 36 different countries backed this project so far! I can't tell you how grateful and excited I am to do this for the DeepOnion community and I want to thank every single one of you that backed this project! You are amazing!

I also want to give you a quick update on what has been going on in the past few days. Since this project was nearly funded yesterday, I went ahead and contacted the manufacturer to start with the production of the coin dies, so we can have a physical test coin before the end of this campaign.

The designer of this coin also added the date and "First Batch #1/2500" to the coin design, which has been submitted to the manufacturer to see whether this is something then can work with. For now it looks like "First Batch #" will be minted and the batch numbers will be laser engraved. Maximum amount of coins is set at 5000, but my expectation is that we will end up somewhere around the 2500 coins to be minted for the first batch. If the campaigns ends at 2231 coins being sold, I will round this up to 2300 for example, so we have a nice round number on the coins.

Was re-reading the announcement page - it talks about implementing zero knowledge protocol later this year.  Are the devs set on ZK protocols, or if the Mimblewimble protocol turns out to be successful would they consider/explore implementing that instead?

Check latest weekly news letter, a lot of wonderful updates are ready to release, all know the titles so I don't want to list them.
DO have a strong community plus active developers, but event these two important things are not enough.
One important parameter is fair distribution, this one is the factor that BTC has the most and new coins need time to build it.
So we should be patient and try to add as many exchange as possible more exchange create more volume and this means faster distribution.
