The question here is why did you invest in the altcoin you are holding! If you can not answer the why question you should hurry to an exchange and sell your altcoin. Buy bitcoin and keep your bitcoin for 5 years. Otherwise, you should be holding your altcoib

I think it all depends upon how comfortable enough you are in holding altcoins rather than converting it to bitcoin. If you already have doubts on your altcoin and how ell it works for you, it will be better for you to sell it all rather than your mind is sticking on worries about your altcoins and its fate.

It depends on your trading strategy. If you think the altcoins have potential and plan to hold for the long term, there is no point to sell if the price dip. You never know when the altcoins are rising again.

Just because bitcoin goes up in value doesn't mean all altcoins will go down.  As of lately, it does seem like the majority of altcoins do lose some value when bitcoin rises but there are also some that goes up in value with bitcoin.  If you're holding good altcoins, you should not worry about what bitcoin does.

Even i am thinking the same i am selling some of my altcoins which i really think its a pump or small time rise remaining coins i am keeping for the future which value will increase for sure because of working product.

It depends on what alts do you have. If you have weak alt coins they will go down but if you have good alt coins with high market cap , they can go up with bitcoin.

I also think so. Once people didn't believe that Bitcoin's price would grow so much and invested in gold. Do not make the same mistake. Wait a little bit because it is possible that Altcoin's price will increase too.

i don't think you need to sell your altcoin investment just to benefit from bitcoin rising price some altcoins actually has the potential to rise up in price this year so that means if you are holding altcoin worth holding just keep it and wait it will go up

Nobody can predict the future. It is always better to hold cheap but good potential altcoins. Don't just react to market winds like a paper bag. Better to use your own mind while making your decisions. As for the Bitcoin, it will most probably continue to rise in the long term. It's on you to decide whether you want to stick with your altcoin projects or invest all in Bitcoin or a better choice of investing in both Bitcoin and altcoins.

Depends on what kind of altcoins you are holding. ATM altcoins are outperforming Bitcoin which was losing value for the past 2 months. Bitcoin dominance has been dropping for a while now. Curious what will happen with Ripple, Stellar, Tron, and others that moonwalked.

Why do you want to put it all in one? I think this is quite risky, it's good to diverse your portfolio (fiat, altcoins, BTC).

Keep some alt the market cycles between btc and alts. It's easier for lower market cap coins to gain $ in price. Getting the correct alt can make much more money than waiting for btc to go 20k.

it depends from where you get that alts, bough it or earn it in bounty campaign? if you bought it, when you think you get profit i think it is good to sell. but if you get from bounty campaign maybe wait until that alt price can be better

theres no need to sell all your alts, maybe make a another investment for bitcoin because they are both profitable, after this holidays im sure bitcoin price will soon to pump just like what happen last couple of months, and for the alts you hodl, keep on hodling and be wise to gain more profits,

You need to do all of that because we don't have assurance in any coins here like btc can get grow high or some altcoins also,either you lose or win in trading so base in this price if you want trusted already in investing here do invest in ripple,eth,ltc,xrb and btc because you need only to wait to have profit in that 5 coins another thing i invest in that this year with no losing and 7x high by current price now but still i hold it.
