Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

At present, Bittrex and Binance are the best two exchanges. Bittrex has stopped new user registration, so Binance is the best exchange now. It is also a beginner friendly. I don't see any problem.

I thought Kucoin was pretty easy to use as someone just starting out.

This is correct, Bittrex will allow new users to register shortly again if I'm not wrong

Binance is most user friendly exchange there is right now. Cryptopia and etherdelta have pitiful user interfaces but after some experience with binance I think you could roll over to those to get some low market cap coins

maybe you will start with bittrex. they are more safe to start with. They list good coins on their platform so you will be rest assured you wont buy coins that will stock your funds for a very long time. Poloniex is always a good one. with friendly GUI. they also list good coins.

At this time, I think binance is the best and then bittrex. Binance User interface very cool, low fees, have mobile platform for trading and easy to use for newbie. Don't trade at yobit or coinexchange, too many bot and shitcoin with low volume trading.

I was away from crypto for years and now I'm trying to get back into the game. I was really STUNNED that there is no exchange, even after many years since bitcoin started, that we can just deposit USD and start exchanging altcoins. I hope I'm wrong because this would be the single biggest hurdle for altcoins to be widely adopted by general public. There are just too many hurdles to jump over just to START trading.
Yes, the lack of such an exchange is disconcerting. I have heard that Kraken may have something like that, but didn't check it yet. I like Cryptopia, but fees to withdraw Bitcoins are too high.

If you're a noob and are just starting new to the game then check out cryptopia. Novaexchange is probably better for newbies but the future of nova is uncertain at the moment so best go to topia instead. After you get used to the game then move on to binance or bittrex.

I'm gonna say Binance is the best, and I think it is beginner friendly, to me they're all almost the same. It's best to choose bigger exchanges, you can watch a few YouTube videos to figure everything out. Or you can have accounts on few exchanges, sometimes you need to do a quick coin shopping and can't find that coin on big exchanges

Binance is probably the best exchange for beginners. It comes with mobile and desktop apps, which is super convenient for traders.

My first and principal exchange is Cryptopia, too easy to use. I also like other exchanges but you need a little experience to understand their grpahs... Bettrix, yobit and Hitbtc (sometimes get lose with limits and buy/sell options on Hitbtc)}

Actually, crypto exchange platforms do not have much differences from each other. You can easily get your way through them in a single day of exploration. There is not much complication, especially for you who have already the idea and the experience about it. Yes, Binance is like the talk of the town right now. But I still prefer trading with Bittrex and Poloniex.

Bittrex has still a great volume and they have been for many years already. Binance is quite new but it's getting bigger since it's easier to create an account in Binance and they are consistently listing new coins or tokens. We, as a trader, we like bigger market as that gives and opportunity for us to trade more.
