There is a difference between "picture" and 'photograph.'

All three pictures are pictures; the first two are the kind of picture we call a 'photograph.'

From logical fallacies to empty semantic arguments. Well done. ARE you a paid shill for HashFast? Or are you just a troll... I can't see a third option that would possibly explain you doing the things you do.

Did I help you out, or otherwise say something useful? A handful of satoshis are a great way to say thanks! - Address: 18JUKdmE1Satf8HJUU3pf7iu5ymQX8AzER

All three pictures are pictures; the first two are the kind of picture we call a 'photograph.'

From logical fallacies to empty semantic arguments. Well done.

Did you miss the context of the conversation?  I was pointing out the giant picture of the PCB to some idiot who pretended it was never posted:

All I see is some parts from newegg.com. A piece of aluminum. And some Legos painted black.

You should also be able to see the GIANT picture of the PCB and a video of the airflow test too.

Wait, there's something in your eye.  Remove the jaundice and you'll then be able to observe what's plain to the rest of us.   Roll Eyes

Funny how you don't correct, much less pick apart, patently false statements like flyboy's but still attack me for disputing them.

Your ugly little bias is showing.  How much does KnC pay you to troll, disrupt, and spread FUD in HashFast threads?

That's some very weak Haterade.  You guys are getting desperate now that HashFast is hours or days away from their first working test board submitting shares.

Even cedavid finished his tantrum, stopped flinging poo, and sobered up.

I think he (wisely) realized his repetitive whining and FUD were doing permanent damage to his credibility, reputation, and standing in the community.

"Two months late" would be Feb 31st.

You seem to be having trouble understanding the difference between the most optimistic, earliest physically possible ship date and the guaranteed delivery date.

Hint: the earliest possible ship date isn't a deadline of any kind.  Hope that helps.   Wink

This isn't hard.

Guaranteed delivery date = Dec 31.

Dec 31 + two months = Feb 28(ish)

How people can claim the earliest possible ship date was some kind of iron-clad guaranteed deadline is beyond me; that's simply not a reasonable interpretation or position.   Roll Eyes

Too much Haterade I guess.   Cool

The chip design is almost complete. We're starting sales now because we're at the point where we the calendar of remaining items is fairly fixed, and we're confident we can deliver.

Note the date on that quote. That sure doesn't sound like an earliest possible ship date. That quote says just the opposite. "Nearly complete", "remaining items fairly fixed", "we're confident". Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Fact is, they are late. Months late.

Fact is, they promised BS to batch 1 customers and we believed them as fools.
Conclusion is, if they play with batch 1 customers, batch 1 customers are gonna play with them.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

Wow just a shot of the naked chip packaged, they haven't tested the chips using a test board and hadn't published that it was at least working? Something seems wrong...

No, nothing is wrong. They have always been on schedule to deliver at the end of the year as witnessed by their 12/31 refund date. Any previous lies about shipping before that were simply to snag more customers. It worked perfectly.

...The golden nonce chip is able to broken into 4 pieces - so its possible we could ship less than 400 Ghash.  That said, we expect that the MPP will most likely be fully triggered.

-HashFast Team

This is kind'a interesting.  If the chip could be broken into quarters, i assume each GN chip has 4 separate dies.  The onlu package for a chip with several individual dies which dissipate heavy power would be something like this:

...which also happens to jive with the rendering offered on Hashfast's website.  But this:

...is either just *one* of the dies, yet to be mounted on the substrate, or Huh

*This is a serious, non-trolly question, i take geekly pride in being able to figure out just what i'm looking at. If someone could explain, i'm all ears.

That is a good question.  It looks like a complete package (die, heatspreader, substrate).  If it was only the die I would expect it to be bare silicon (has a rainbow sheen).  While I guess each die could be packaged independently and then all four attached to a substrate that doesn't make any damn sense.  So my first thought would be it is a complete package but it would appear to be too small, and not match expected characteristics at all.  I would be expecting a shiny metal lid, substrate which extends out from beyond the lid, and no writing on the package lid.   The lid is going to be the primary thermal transfer so it would be designed for high conductivity.

For example: KNC board.
http://www.alchip.com/uploadfile/201311/20131105093923760.jpg
Big shiny in the middle is completed package (which also contains 4 dies like HF design although at lower throughput).

So based on the single photo alone it doesn't look like a completed package (4 dies + heatspreader/package lid + substrate) and it also doesn't look like a bare die either.  So Huh

Some more and better photos (from side and bottom and with size reference) would help.
