Not the main indicators to measuring the project, but you can use telegram to find out how active they are and how to know the responses from other community.

There are lots of active channels and groups that mainly uses a bot for their telegram accounts . so depending on it wont still guarantee you a succesful ico .

I believe the success of ico cant be found on how active their telegram or any other platforms but the success does trully comes from the usefulness of their projects.

Overall , finding a good and legit ico can still be a tough job due to the many competitions thesedays.

Actually Telegram is to Communicate with Investor or Converting a Spectator to a Investor.
Its really a amazing opportunity for Founder and his Team to Progress as a Successful Fund rising.
So technically YES IT IS!

To buy or not to buy - that is the question ;)

It is at the same time an indicator of a successful ICO and at the same time not.
If we see a group of 50K users, we cannot tell if they are real or just bought (there are many programs for buying subscribers)
But if most of them were bought, this shows that ICO spends money on marketing. At the same time we still don't know if they are not scam.

Very difficult yeah?

I do use Telegram membership as a gauge to the success of the marketing program but not necessarily the quality of the project.

Yes, you are right telegram is a mediator in between the investor and company owners because investors will discuss whatever the doubts they have about the project. Once the investor got any answer from the company then the investor will start investing in the project.

It may not be the right tool to measure an ICO success because I have seen ICOs with large telegram community but still ended up being a scam whereas they are those that had few number of users in their community but went on to be successful.

Hello friends! Many times, I was added to a group by a weird project. I think it might be a task of airdrop. The project is very easy to achieve the large number of telegram members. I do not appreciate this. It is important that people talk to each other in the group, or maybe the admin team answers the question very quickly, It will evaluate the team of the project is actually working

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

We have the largest Telegram community than any other ICO.

1)We reached 99k+ members in our Telegram group and we had to create a second group because our community was expanding too fast, and our goal is to reach a 200K Telegram community. None of the other ICOs has a 200k Telegram community.

2)We made a partnership with the French electronic giant Archos (https://www.archos.com) for their Crypto devices.

More people in Telegram group means more people that are already interested in the project and that can make newcomers more comfortable as they know that it is more likely to fulfill at least soft cap and their money wouldn't be in project unable to succeed. But it shouldn't be taken that seriously as a lot of ICOs are giving airdrop based on Telegram

Telegraph is one of the main channels of ICO transmission. In the telegraph, investors and bounty hunters can ask many questions. An active telegraph group can make more people interested in the project!

For me yes, but only one measure for the success. Not only the number of members in the telegram, we must also check the participation of the members as well as the responsiveness of admin to answer the important queries. This is one factor for an ICO to be successful.

As a kind of social software that is very popular in the current cryptocurrency market, the telegraph is also very effective. An active telegraph group can raise interest in chatting and increase the investment chance of investors!

now this can not be proper measure for success , because people join telegram either for airdrop or bounties . in some projects i saw bots also join the group to show group is large . so measure is only one thing that is project potential .

the fact that the project has a very strong support in social networks, in particular a telegram, is excellent, but I believe that this is not the most important when choosing an ICO project.

Telegram is the best place to discuss and communicate about crypto. Most new telegram groups now have about 100k members. But most of the 90% are fake. By the airdrop. People create many fake accounts and participate in it. And it is not possible to judge the real community by telegram right now

yes for me , having a good and big community in telegram can lead a successful project, but you may also look at others like whitepaper and the website if there project is really interesting or not.

Telegram is a way of communication. It is used in many countries of the world, and in some of them as in mine is completely unknown.
It is a social media platform if you run it on your phone, you can share with your friends among others, your opinion about cryptocurrencies and ICOs. It is the other way of promotion as twitter and facebook.
It is definitely not an indication of success but it can help spreading new ideas to many people.
Yes, I agree with you that the telegram group is not an indication that a project will be successful but just a measure through which a project cam be promoted and will get attention of participants because it has a very large number of participants.

but what if all that telegram members in the channel are just bots or airdrop/bounty participants
it is pretty common thing
telegram channel should not be an ICO success measure lol
