Is it possible to decrease core voltage on any other bitmain products?

Edit:

I manually set fan speed to 100% and the temps are hovering at around 60c now with 525mhz.

Im sure once blissz finished up work on his firmware we should be able to do that.
Also Ive tried 525, 569 and 575 and all yielded similar results. They are running better than at 600 but still hot and loud nevertheless. I shall consider running fan at 100% now, as no matter what I do I am not able to get temps to drop below 79

For anyone still trying to get NiceHash to work -- they will NOT be supporting the A3.  Got this overnight.......

To those who are afraid their temperature is too high. My third chain is running up to 96 degrees since 48 hours, no issue on the hashrate so far.
Not quite sure if 100% compareable but in an old thread there was a discussion about the S9 and the feedback from people with deep knowledge about chiptemperature was that everything under 100°C is fine.

Yea, and by next week you'll have a dead board. 96c for ASICs are WAY to high. Anything over 80-90c will seriously reduce the lifetime.

Also remember that bitmain has a temp diode on a SINGLE chip in that string. If that one chip is reporting 96c, you can definitely expect a variance of +/- 20c over all the chips. All it takes is one chip to overheat and blow the whole board/chain.

Can I run 2 A3's on a 10-30R 30A 125/250V outlet ?. We use this for dryers, but thought of using this to mine as this is the only 220v that I can find in my home ? However I understand this is old setup, will it work fine with continuous load. Thanks.

I'm running 2 A3 and a L3+ on a 30A 240V circuit. Consumption is around 13A for all 3 devices. I could still do another 2 A3 and another L3+.

Don't give up .
How did it die?

all of a sudden when you reboot or start up?

Or while it working gradually ?

If latter, in my case, reset worked fine .

If you ve tried already ,sorry.

Awesome, Then I will go get an adapter Smiley. I also have a S9 and L3+, I will hook that up as well into this outlet. Thanks.

That's not dead... that's the "error" indicator

Unplug chain 2 and 3 PCIE connections + control board connector.

Try to power up with just chain 1 to get it back online. Try to adjust the fan speed and frequency (increase it or decrease)

Try to unplug the PCIE pins and re-plug along with replugging in the control board connection.

Try to plug it into a different wall outlet in your area.

It's likely that the board isn't dead and it's just a power issue.

I think the problem here is the voltage the chips are running at. Even at 525mhz, woke up this morning to find one miner operating at 80C. It doesn't seem to make a difference on heat of what the freq is.

thanks what the best way to wake up those sleeping chips

Tssar mate, Im trying to PM you since 2 days but you are blocking newbies messages and Im listed as one  Grin

It is the system that is blocking not me let me see what I can do on the parameters

a 30A 240v circuit should be derated to 26A continuous load to be safe, so you have a total power draw of ~6.2kw on that circuit...thats good for like 4 A3's or 6 L3+

I'm at 12A with 2 A3 (undeclocked), 1 L3+ (overclocked) and a D-Link switch. I'm expecting to be able to do 4 A3 and 2 L3+ right at 24A (80% continuous).
