Wait for the other guys to chime in. I'm native, but I mix up my own words sometimes. (I aced my Math and Science subjects, but I fail at Humanities, Literature and Languages.)

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Hi everyone, sorry to speak in english in your philipino forum but I am here for some help from native tagalog speakers.

I am part of the Peercoin community and I am seeking help validating translations for our peercoin.net website and Peerunity wallet client.

I need  to check that this few randomly selected paragraph; translated from our fellow Peercoin philipino translator are correct and clearly understandable for native philipino speakers. It is a routine check to ensure the quality of the translations.

I would like if you could just quote each paragraph and if correct for you just write under it VALID if clearly understandable for you.
I will write the tagalog translation followed by the english original text.

Number 1

Proof of Work mining is used to spread the distribution of new coins, while the security of the network is maintained entirely by Proof of Stake minting. This means that Bitcoin mining vulnerabilities such as Selfish Mining do not impact Peercoin security.

Number 2

Peercoin brings innovative features, active developers and significant community involvement. As of August 1, 2014, Peercoin is nearly two years old, and has a market cap of over $20 million USD.

Number 3

Most cryptocoin mining requires specialized hardware, but Peercoin minting can be done on any computer. Minting is energy-efficient, because it is based on the Peercoins you hold, rather than on your processing power.

Thank you, GLock

i think the english version is easier to understand rather than the translated version Cheesy

They do have the green EV SSL cert. They are another open type exchange. So now there are two in the country. But they only accept deposits and withdrawals at Security Bank.

unfortunately, this could hinder their growth. Bakit nila lilimitahan sa iisang bangko ang paraan ng pagbabayad at pagwithdraw kung gusto nila lumaki bilang isang exchange site?

https://coinxchange.ph/closing

Quote
Coinxchange is Closing

Dear Coinxchange customers and friends,

After a review of our business, Coinxchange has made the difficult decision to close, effective December 15, 2014. We wish to thank each of our customers and employees who supported the company since we processed our first transaction in March of this year. Unfortunately, the company wasn’t able to become profitable so we’ve decided to close the company to focus on other areas.
All customer funds and stored bitcoin are secure and can be withdrawn at any time.

Please take note of the following items:

Existing customer bitcoin balances can be sent to any other bitcoin wallet address at any time at no charge.
Existing customer Peso balances can be withdrawn to a supported bank account during business hours at no charge. Withdrawals to domestic remittance services may incur a fee as charged by the remittance service.
While withdrawals will continue until December 15th, 2014, no new bitcoin buy or sell orders will be accepted.
While your Coinxchange wallet will remain operational until December 15, please point external accounts like mining pools to a bitcoin address at another provider.
Customers with specific questions about their accounts can contact Coinxchange support using Coinxchange's internal messaging or by sending an email to support@coinxchange.ph.

We remain fans of bitcoin and hope for its eventual success in speeding transactions and lowering costs for consumers. My personal thanks go to those who have supported since the beginning of this amazing journey.

Thanks,

Chris Williams

Sana. First I have to open a Security Bank account. Then they will have to enroll me in their digibanker list, which can take up to 7 days. What a hassle for the first time. I better get started, I just created an account there.

I think I'll create an account on all the exchanges. coinage, coins.ph, buybitcoin.ph, what are the others anyone else is aware of?

I'm going to send a few bits to some of them and withdraw, see how long they take and what happens.

Thanks Nico. The compare prices one doesn't work for me (does not work on Firefox, or does not show anything).

I'm going to try some or all of them. hehehe.

I told Chris before, that he should have tried for the open market style (with bids and asks), instead he tried a closed coinbase style. That would have been okay, but the volatility is probably one reason that killed it. See my other post above.

http://bills.ninja (pay bills with BTC)

1. The ninja needs P30 per bill.
2. The ninja needs a facebook account. I do not have a facebook account and I'm not going to start now.

Oh well, I guess I pay my bills by going to the exchange first then.

I just opened my own Security Bank account. Having it all verified and other stuff for the other exchanges. I put a sell order for 19k PHP/BTC ... just gonna wait for it to go up by the end of the week. Smiley

I am a bit worried about customs costs (the only person I saw that bought one in PH paid like 2K PHP for customs extra.) And I might be able to buy it cheaper through NL with some family etc. But in the end, for the right price, I am definitely interested in a Trezor.
