It has been 48 hours since block 81660. Mining operations on the Darsek pool are now shut down.

The website will remain up for miners to withdraw coins.

Within the next 24-48 hours, I will credit all the shares since 81660 as outlined in other announcements.

The pool will re-open when the POS issue clears up or re-launch occurs.

Not that I know of, they are not even on the same servers.

Just a quick look at the pool shows miners mining. What kind of issues are you having?

LOL.. I started and have been running cryptocoinexplorer.com for over a year now. I really got to start making some more noise.  Grin

The test explorers (All the scifi coins are in the CCE3 test program) are down right now as I am updating the server. The test explorers explorers might be up and down all weekend, as I am planning some major changes.

So, recently I haven't been able to move coins from one of my GPL wallets that I solo mine with. I'm getting: "Error: Transaction creation failed". This wallet wasn't encrypted but I just did that now, we'll see if I can move them at a later date. I can move coins from my main encrypted wallet just fine.

I haven't been able to pay too close attention to these coins because I'm out of the country. I'm using teamviewer to check in on my miner and this has popped up. Could this be related to a POS issue as well?

I've seen this before when people have a lot of coins in an old client,  I have no idea what causes it just a hunch. Moving it to a new wallet, via small amounts may work.  my hunch is, it's CPU usage related.

That is pretty close to what is happening. GPL is particularity sensitive as mined rewards are 0.2. Take the GPL pool wallet for example.

All the inputs are 0.2 GPL (Coin base transactions when a block is found). If somebody tries to withdraw 5000 gpl, that would create a transaction with 25,000 inputs. This transaction is much to big.

Once I get the explorers back up later today, i will give an example on how this works.

Bottom line...This is not a bug, it is how ALL coins work. GPL is just more susceptible because of the small coinbase transactions and the young age which means most of the coinbase transactions have not been "spent" to make larger inputs .

Would a mixer help or harm? it would move coins around but could create big transactions.

As Dreamwatcher and others have stated.... this is usually happens if you try to create too big of a transaction.

Try sending a smaller amount until it finally works. try 5 coins(25 mined_inputs x 0.2each) at first and then more or less in 1 coin increments until it works.

hope this helps.

cheers.

So it looks like Darsek problem will not resolve it'self and even if all the PoS blocks were to have matured, and PoW was flowing again I think it will only be a matter of time before the next issue.

I want to go ahead with a cash in & relaunch KED the second coming.

The easiest way would be to start a thread, on the forum www.scificointalk.com where people can stake a claim to their share of the first super-block.

Can someone start this thread for me please and link back here.   In the thread I need users to post their main/first wallet address, the amount of coins, your preference for the new KED...  reward, fees, Block time, total coins, algo (Scrypt/Sha256d/S-jane) etc.

So we will work on a new coin with 100,000 super-block  80,000 to be distributed to the current KED owners and 20,000 for a Logo competition.

If anyone has a strong objection to this let me know ASAP.

I am reconstructing the KED explorer database now. I performed a complete wipe of the test server and am now reconstructing it. The database can give you the balance of every address on the chain that has a balance. There may be a way to to this automatically if we keep the same address version.
The other factors will not matter in the type of auto-distribute I am thinking of.

If the new coin keeps the same address version, we can use the explorer database to send the super block coins to the same addresses they were at in the original chain.

One would only have to dump the private keys in there current KED wallet and import them into the new KED wallet.

People that are not even aware of what is going on could always get their share of the coins from the original chain, as they would be waiting for them.

Only need the private key to address they are on.

Added benefit, everybody can keep their current addresses in the new chain.

WE might even be able to automate it in the new client by giving it the ability to scan the old wallet and auto import the private keys into the new wallet.

I have no problem with the restart, but I don't think 100k coins will be enough.  I have 10251.50 KED and I mine with a total of around ~950kh/s, so there have to be larger wallets than mine out there...

If we are to do my idea, simply replace all the coins in the original chain, we would need a super block(s) that add up around 284407.77997000 KED. Everybody would get back the same amount of coins they have now. Nobody looses any coins.

I could write up a simple python application that people could use to import the old wallet keys into the new wallet, so no need to alter the new client at all.

It would be pretty simple, and for the extra paranoid, they can always do it manually.
