I'm running 631 @ 88% fans currently (100 makes an annoying vibration in my floor). Running fine, temps in the mid to high 70s (pulling cold basement air), though I am still baffled by the whole "if you reboot, your temperatures change by 5-10 degrees" thing.
theyre 5-10 higher or lower for you? They would be lower because rebooting them cools them down cause mining stops then fans sync. Wont last though depending on ambient temp Nope, they're both. I'm talking about a bug in the A3 itself (that others have reported too). If I make a change, as it is resetting it will either go up 5-10 from the previous running or down, but whichever it is it runs consistently at. So for example, my current temps are 79-75-81. The last time I changed wallets, the temps were all in the mid 80s, so I reset again and they are back down. It's been a pretty common thing based on posts on this board (though I don't know if it is universal or not), so if your A3 is running hot, you might be able to bring it down a bit just by hitting "save and apply". I dont have good data to support this but I've basically noticed the same thing and found it really odd. . . couple restarts and monitoring temps for just a short period seemed to yield "yeah it looks good now.." lol I got my First Batch yesterday put it on at about 7pm 2/2/2018 on www.siamining.com I will hoard my coins. In the meantime, A3 are still available for ordering on the Bitmain's site. What would we get guys when the second batch will completely be deployed?

Still looks like it is going the D3 x11 route to me....3rd/4th etc batches with NO ROI......but I may be a coward in that I got burnt on 2 D3's ( I did however ROI on all x11 miners, IF I count my 300mh May 14th, 2017 Baikal Cube ..that made 3.2k over cost.....so for ego protection I'm saying I 'broke even on x11' not that I got tanked on Bitmain D3's. It is all about the ego protection, in 20/20 hindsight...don't ya know!) Anyway, I'm staying clear unless they drop the price to like $380 or some such...then I might snap.....(doubtful)

I got FIVE supposedly Obelisk Unicorns coming someday. I just post stuff....not that I know what he hell I'm talking about! (my only hope on the Obelisks, is a USAF SiaCoin Fork. Unlikely!) But, the Bitmain A3's are a poor bet also again IMHO, from 3rd batch on. Too many coin, whose worth is based on decentralized ASIC network being up. (August 2018). Assuming they can do as they say, and beat Amazon Prices by 10c on the 1.00 usd. March A3's are gonna struggle big time, with that looming over their head. (They can look down in the deep pool of dread and see my FIVE Obelisks as a warning...alas...no one listens.....to the first casualties in any new ASIC war.) My take, in that I missed BOTH 1st and 2nd batches of A3's ..then the tune would be different! (damn, missed boats, i could form my own fleet!) edit: rewards thing folk mention, is a long planned bug fix on difficulty, that was known before the A3's popped out. Though, glad to see it helps.

how much are they making a day$? in the last 2 days? thanks! got someone selling one for 3k, is it worth it?
At current ROI? I say yes. With batch 2 coming? Not sure; are you looking for a quick buck or plan to run it for a year or so? It's still a gamble, mind, but if you run it until it's no longer profitable against electricity, you should make your money back (and if you hold the coins or buy other coins with them, you could very well earn a nice profit). If you cash out weekly? Probably not at this point, that type of mining is really a day 1 or nothing approach with new ASICs... I mean, there's a CHANCE it could be like the S9 or L3+ and draw a reasonable profit for a long, long time. Or it could be like the D3 and earn like $5/day or less. No way to know, so basically don't put in what you can't afford to lose. If $3K is a reasonable amount of money for you to spend, my advice is go for it, but the above caveats apply. EDIT TO ADD: I WAYYY overpaid for my L3, it was my intro to ASICs mining, and I paid like 2.5x what Bitmain was asking to get a first batch one through Amazon. And while that seems stupid, thanks to cashing out a chunk in Dec, I have already hit my ROI, whereas had I bought the next batch it'd still be in the red. So it's all a crapshoot, really.

Yah I think mining SIA will be a losing battle, but not because there will be too many ASICs on the open market (though that will contribute). SIA is kind of like Ripple in the sense that it is a token used for utility and not an outright currency, almost like a casino chip. What exactly will drive up the price of SIA? That is what I don't understand. Storage will only sell at a certain point. I guess the only thing I could see driving the price would be those who plan on using the service heavily buying as many tokens as possible early on to use when price rises. As the supply rises though, it will eventually outpace the demand.

That makes it not the most profitable for holding, but for long term mining? If it becomes a standard currency and the use drives up, the profit doesn't matter, the mining will still be needed and the coins will have inherent value instead of speculative. But in comparison to, say, BTC or Litecoin, totally, I don't see Sia becoming a high value coin. I see profit coming from mining it, not necessarily holding it (though who knows? Currency values fluctuate all the time).

@VoskCoin
What freq do you run your A3? What are your temps?
freq 644 and I do not recommend overclocking in full disclosure etc whatever / full dash https://imgur.com/sN20uA7/ miner pulls in outside air currently around 40 f How steady are your chip temps at 644, ambient temp of area? Chip and PCB 3 always running 10% hotter than the rest, you notice the same?

Get your tinfoil hat off. Bitmain creates a new product page when it changes something like the price, old product page sticks around.
