If you plan to do long term investment, I suggest to hold multiple coin in a multi wallet. Havind different kind of coin will let you not miss any sudden pump in price and also reduce the sudden loss from you money. wait , what ?  bitcoin ?  cant you see the title of this thread  , it says that the op is looking for altcoin that is good to hodl for a  longer term . so bitcoin isnt a valid suggestion since bitcoin is not an altcoin  .
