"With our hybrid approach, we’re able to garner broad adoption using our existing audience and their daily streaming media habits through a simple user experience and wallet integration, removing all technical complexities associated with the adoption of cryptocurrencies. Lastly, the other barrier to entry revolves around accountability. Many token sales are based on theoretical principles without any sort of product in market. "

So basically this is their marketing strategy - to appeal to a broader audience which maybe doesn't know a lot about crypto and to have an existing product right away.

Is current's library of media a predefined one, or do users contribute with their own work?

There wouldn't be much sense of predefined media in my opinion.

But then how is it any different from Netflix, Hulu or any other similar platforms?

They plan to make collaborations - but I think they wrote somewhere that original content will be rewarded. Not sure how they will solve the pay-per-view options.

For many investors even the onepager is too much Tongue
Those are probably not serious investors Cheesy

Why do you think so? In my opinion serious investors are not that type of people who can make decision to invest depending only on website quality. Bitcoin hadn't any website. But it has what? Correct. It has whitepaper. The most important thing in crypto.
And Current has both - great whitepaper with brilliant idea and perfect website Smiley
So this is no surprise (for me at least) that guys have reached hardcap already Wink

I don't know if we can make assumptions about how the early bitcoin investments were decided but the fact of the matter is that the current crypto landscape has changed so much that you can not invest in anything without investing time into gaining some deeper knowledge of the idea. Well, you could, but I doubt anybody that wants to invest more than 50$ would do that.

That's a good question, and the problem is that they got a response from the community that was overwhelming so they might want to change their initial plans. The best way is to ask them that in their Telegram group.

They did add a lot os articles and statements on their Telegram group, and actually there is one YT video where the CEO explains why they did it.

You're right, there are a lot of crypto projects with no whitepaper, almost no data, that doesn't really give the community much to go on.

I think this is the video he's talking about - it was posted in this thread earlier - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xv6LHvrQiIg
He looks like he's in a booth at a club butthere's not music on Grin but the interview is ok.

Current doesn't need pure crypto population, why would it?
