The quality of a leader, Leader must be able to protect, populist and can accept differences of opinion from his subordinates, If it is not in a leader, certainly the organization or country that he leads must be destroyed.

Some people believe certain person are born leaders. Others think an individual can learn to be a leader.
I don't want to use the notion " quality of Good leader", but quality of a leader. Why? Because no matter how one try, the phrase GOOD can not be justified. As a leader, your actions set the tone for what is appropriate in any field you find yourself because you are a role model and many people wants to learn from you. Exhibit habit that you want the society to be, always remember the change you are looking for begins with you.
Be able to communicate effectively, a better society can only be achieved via effective communication and most important you build trust from people on how you communicate with each others.
Be humble, always acknowledge others idea,  and to grant it all be CREATIVE AND ORIGINAL.

In one group, there will always be someone who will stand out and acts as the leader, so called alpha male. But not all those who stand out can be a leader, some can be a boss. Being a leader and a boss will never be the same.

In an engineering project one must posses a leadership skills in order to accomplish a project. To be a good leader, for me, one must possess the following qualities.
1. Honesty and Integrity. You should be someone who can be trusted. Your subordinate can rely on his opinion.
2. Inspire Others. Being a leader does not mean you will do all the work. Being a good leader, you must be able to do jobs through your subordinates.
3. Commitment and Passion. You must be committed to what you do. Your work will be worthless if you dont love your craft.
4. Good Communicator. You must be able to express your idea and commands both oral and written.
5. Decision-Making Capabilities. You must be able to decide logically as problem arises. Your decision will be intrumental to solve the problem.
6. Accountability. You must be accountable on both failures and accomplishment. You should not let your subordinates bear all problems when there is failure.
7. Delegation and Empowerment. You must trust your subordinates and give them task you know they can accomplish.
8. Creativity and Innovation. Lastly, a good leader must be creative and innovative to improve things within the organization.

These are just something a remembered in our management subject. You should apply these things to become a leader and research for more to become the best. You might not be the best now but you can be in the future.

Well I believe that like other traits which are influenced by your genes or environment, leadership traits can also be expressed either as an acquired trait or something inborn. A person might be prone to make certain choices or decisions in life because the person is genetically programmed to do such. Similarly, a person might just pick it up from years of conditioning too.
But then the means of acquisition does not matter as long as you become a leader.

Quality of a leader? In my opinion it is not about choosing the good one to be a leader bit choosing the right one. Good is good but it doesn't mean it is always the right thing. Finding a right leader is the very right and wise move, a right leader can act accordingly within his responsibility while a good leader will act accordingly not by what is actually the right thing but emotionally.

Being a leader is a huge responsibility so we should be more careful in choosing our leader. We should think first a leader should also a good listener and follower, a leader should have a strong integrity, respect, humbleness, god fearing, not only pursuing his/her own interest but also the others, a good influencer, has an enough knowledge to handle problems , a good speaker or communicator and always remember leader is nit all about position, authority and piwer is all about how you can influence others to change for better.
