Etherium Classic - Callisto airdop 5th of March 2018

It's always good to receive coins with no effort needed. Don't know if this may influence ETC price though...unfortunately many people now associate Ethereum with just ETH and not ETC. Is there an official thread about Callisto here on bitcointalk?

I do not understand the reason behing tihs fork. Why did not Callisto team choose Ethereum and they chose Ethereum Classic to fork?
Ethereum Classic is really a good coin however it did not work for some reason. Most of ICOs choose Ethereum platform and not Ethereum Classic platform. I will do more research about Callisto platform and we will see if this coin bring momentum to Ethereum Classic and whole market.
It will help Ethereum Classic price increase in February and early March until the fork, price may increase too much. Most people bought ETC for this reason for sure

We will see the real price of 1 Callisto (CLO) on 5th March. Every speculation until then is pointless.

There is a big hype about this fork/airdrop, but looking the price of ETC I don't think it's affected at all. Earlier today ETC dropped even more than popular alts.

I am not sure how it will impact the market ,can you link me to the token thread where i could learn more about it,there are many air drops that are going on ,since i am not interested in these random give away ,i am more of a skeptical in these so called drops,but if the said Callisto does have any potential ,then i am sure people will be buying ETC and the market will rise.It all depends upon how cool is the CLO project.

As I think best for this airdrop is the basis - ETC. Imho ETC not worse than ETH. But from hardfork  ETC undeservedly considered a younger brother. Actually it is older brother but less popular. Some marketing not bad for ETC. And Callisto have some excellent ideas in own portfolio

Time to buy some ETC. I think the ETC price will drastically increase before the fork. (depends on the market, though).
I like ETC, but I don't like that there is no practical use in this blockchain. All the ICO's are run on ETH. Maybe Callisto will resolve the scalability issues and we will see some practical use in ETC.

Ye, it's so. We get new coins but will wait long for money if we will do it for this. Unlike Ignis airdrop Callisto not trade anywhere. And it not happens long enough. Team must have good marketing plans else people can forget what is it

I hope this is true. I have some ETC hanging in my MEW at the moment. More coins means more exposure to crypto and hopefully hedge some of my other loses. I highly doubt ETC will ever hit $1 again.

Going by Callisto Whitepaper, its max supply is  6.5 billion.  Did not find how much will be  the circulating supply
after ETC hardfork but most likely higher than ETC since some percent of  Callisto coins will go to the dev team.
With these figures, do not expect a moonshot for Callisto or ETC.  Think ETC can  go to its old highs in $40s
before fork or higher by fork date.

I don't really understand why they want to do another airdrop, I think this features can easily be added to ETC itself, even ETC has failed to take the huge leap most people expected when the movement started, no successful ICO has been listed on it since
