No I dont follow what politicians say about crypto currencies, because most of them don't have the good knowledge about such currencies, and they spread mostly fake news to discourage people using them.
I follow only what says the most experts in this domain, which started trading and holding many years ago.

In recent days, more and more politicians and heads of central banks talk about cryptocurrency!
Do u follow them? Yes or no? Why
I do follow them and tend to think, soon they will find a way to control cryptocurrency, because that's a huge amount of money, governor's loosing!
For example yesterday head bank of England governor Mark Carney said there is a concern among international regulators about the use of digital currencies and that he expects it to be on the agenda at upcoming G20 meetings. But he also highlighted the “huge range of opportunities” presented by the underlying technology, a view he’s shared before in relation to payment systems.

Actually, that is one of my measures for following any crypto currency or a coin. Once a famous people like a politician or a celebrity, giving their statement, point of view or giving a support in a crypto currency matters, it was surely give a big impact for the value of that coin.

Yes we can rely some information about that but you need to study first what they say because it can go right and also wrong too,i think listen to others ideas is good sometimes and we can learn from it another thing we can assure that opinion is good also because the price of digital currency is so volatile so this is base on speculation to earn.

NO, politicians cannot be trusted in their country as they are corrupt, how come they can tell the truth on cryptocurrency? I will let my trust go to those whales and crypto maniacs than politicians. these politicians are just looking to gain from this currency and I'm pretty sure they will bag money from this as they will file tax and corrupt it.

they must do a thorough research before investing. They should decide what course to follow first. social media may be able to get help from people who have counseling on their platform.

Of course, and as a part of this we should be responsible on getting updated with these news because even what they say are not true it still making an effect on the prices i think but not significantly.
Regarding on controlling the cryptocurrency i think they can't and it will always be like that, they have the power to limit or ban entirely the trading but they can't control the crypto itself and the money flowing in.

Well, in Indonesia, the government also concern with cryptocurrency and already made announcement that cryptocurrency is illegal and Indonesia only acknowledge Indonesian Rupiah as the legal currency.
In my personal opinion, this is unfortunate that government did not see the benefits of cryptocurrency for mass benefits.
Well, that announcement totally will affecting people who still has lack of information to have narrow minded regarding cryptocurrency and most possibly think of cryptocurrency as fraud.

I don't honestly as most politicians barely know what the truth is on a daily basis and flip flop depending on what they think the people want to hear.

I am sure as cryptocurrencies become more popular and the government can find a way to make a lot of cash out of it, they will change their tune.

Right now , nope because they ca easy manipulate the media and the holders. However back in 2015 I used to search about politicians speaking about bitcoin and I surprised to see that in Europe Parlament someone said "buy 1 bitcoin" and he belived in what he said because here we are in 2018 and so far so good.

I don't follow the messages of politicians and bankers. I know all of their abstracts in advance. Bankers always talk about what a cryptocurrency is evil. Politicians make ambiguous statements depending on the situation. In the end the truth in their statements there. For me there is only one indicator. This is an opportunity to earn and sell bitcoins today and tomorrow. For every government action there is always the possibility of resistance.

I do not even tend to follow what politicians say about politics for the most part because even on that subject matter the majority of them seem to be fairly clueless and speaking for personal reasons. Given that, there's absolutely no chance I'm going to pay any attention to what they have to say about cryptocurrency. The only exception to that is if they are speaking about cryptocurrency policy or regulation.

I guess that every more or less experienced investor/trader should be informed about every single decision of the high level politicians in the field of crypto. They will definitely try to get crypto under their control, so privacy coins will be more and more in demand with time.

I'm not specifically looking for news related to political views on crypto currency. But I read the news about crypto currency every day. Therefore, I always see that news too. Therefore, those who follow the world of crypto automatically follow the opinion of politicians. How to treat this opinion is everyone's business. But I often do not understand the actions and words of politicians.

I don't believe politicians in my country they because working only for their own interest not for the sake of our country they are all hypocrite except the commander in chief. Most of them don't have idea in crypto so why should I follow them and one thing we have a lot of problem tackle first they should focus on that not in crypto issue.

First rule:  never believe what a politician tells you lol.  My view is that politicians care only about perception, only about how things look.  Not so much what it actually is.  I generally don't pay any mind to what politicians say about crypto because i believe that what they say is usually influenced buy banking lobbyists.   What they say has no effect at all on my view or involvement in crypto at all.

I think politicians, whales and other important figures are pretty much essential to follow if you want to stay ahead of the curve.

Following such people won't necessarily put you "ahead of the curve" , since by their manipulative claims they can easily put themselves in the post positions while using you .. It already happened and will keep happening . People who are into politics are just 1st class deceivers and sooner or later every politician's true face appears and if he's in a democratic country , he'll eventually stand in court for his deeds .
As for "important figures" and "whales" , we have already seen what people gained when following by letter who the McAfee guy said about investing in cryptos and putting his ass on stake if it 1 bitcoin doesn't reach 1 million dollars value by the end of this year .. People who invested @20k per coin are now down to a 50% loss of their initial investment , of course i can't blame the guy totally because that's how market rolls , but manipulative people have either spread hype/FUD for their own interest over the years and they certainly got what they wanted while drowning people in debts .
