We already ordered a package of this devices, just too proof it and at the same time our devs are implementing v7 algo, but before we fork, we want to be sure that this devices are not easily adapt able to v7...

Good call Smaram, nice to see you guys are taking this issue head on in full force.

Very nice that you are on top of the ASIC/FPGA situation. Following monero's fork if needed would be easiest and best so all the gpu miners software will work with all cryptonote coins. I'm sure stack, sgminer, whatever software is used will just get a quick update for the new changes in algo if needed. But it also depends on how many of these they actually sell. I mean if they only sell a few at a few thousand dollars, it won't matter, and a lot of the time they can't produce many per month. But if they do, then fork to keep mining fair and decentralized.

Network: 50 MH/s (in total); support.ipbc.io: 9.0 MH/s; The second: ipbc.fatpada.club; 0.3 MH/s. So about 40 MH/s most likely comes from the BaiKai machines, which is said to create 20 KH/s by 60W electric power. Manufacturing Baikai is not a problem at all for them. It only depends on how many orders they can receive because this is quick money. With huge investment in machines, it also has high risk once the algo is changed.

this situation ruins all crypto ecosystems... and their decentralisation conditions :-( This big miners group immediately selling off their mined coins to compensate TCO and dumping price .... Its shame, that this great project choose this algo. Maybe neoscrypt, equihash or skein would be a better choice.

I think that invalidate cryptonigh ASIC is not so easy, because than you must change all GPU sw miners code and this is not so easy way... and may it destabilize the network

It is interesting to see that the communities of mining from many individual miners just like those residents in the farming land in ancient time while the ASIC machine miners are similar to those of Nomads. Great wall in China had been only a good defence to win the war between farming and Normad until modern weapons appeared. Now, we may need either a great wall or a more advanced weapon ("modern" algo and soft-miner).

Baikal Giant N is real .... i found it on our local asic miner dealer - price $3600,-  60W and 20kH/s compare to my VEGA RX64 140W and 1.8kHs - actual Vega price about $800-$1000. We do not have any chance to be prifitable on cryptonight algo in close future ...

That's why many Cryptonote projects will be forking. Knowingly having ASICs mine Cryptonote is not an option for many people since it would only mean increased centralization of hash power. The real question is whether projects will fork EVERY time ASICs become a threat to mining Cryptonote blocks.

I do not hate the ASIC developer... because is the bussiness, but i hate coins devs wich do not do any response for this situation ... all first idea of decentralizacition cryptocurency is over. Next level of this "quick win" scheme is premine and MN trend ......
sorry for my words, its not against IPBC developers, they have good working product, but if they will not react rapidly on this situation, we will see price of IPBC coin under $0.01 soon.

+1(sorry, i dont have any merit points). I think that IPBC devs really need a solution for this since their product is based on CPU mining. When you watch videos, your PC mines, but with the asics around it will become useless.

will team update the algo to cryptonight v7? Monero implements it and maybe the ASIC can't mine it or mine that efficiently anymore?
