Why not play games online instead of gambling?

Because in the online game you just play games, where that makes you tense and afraid of losing just prestige. But in gambling, you are betting money and losing money is a risk when you lose. The way people have fun is different, there are enough people with online games, some are not. Everyone's hobbies are different so they have their own choices.

Because there is not thrill and excitement in games. There is no gains. They may win but they gain nothing. But there are games where in winners get points or virtual coins as prizes but that’s just plain game stuff and they cannot exchange it into cash. I really agree with OP there are so many gambling games where you don't use the actual money and since it barely for fun they can play those games, People may go in for the fun but in the end, it's going to be all about the money.

Online games are amazing and no risk at all but some people see this in a different way and some people even if they said that they gamble for fun they still want to earn some money which makes them more interested. We have our own ways to have fun just make sure you can affor to pay for its cost.

Yep, it's somehow depends on what we prefer to do on that day, I play depending on my mood and the time I have,  if I have minimal time I only played dice or poker but if I really want to play ros, I'm sure to make aoke time for it, both activities were good to chill time.

you can also play online games and play gambling at the same time because there were also online games that enables you to bet a crypto or any types of payment or in game money and that is called e sports. there were many game in esports and most of them are the popular ones like dota , counter strike , cross fire ,etc . Yeah exactly, when there's little time I can go for some slots or dice as you say.. When I have a lot of time I can play some online games (CS:GO, PUBG, etc.).. I rarely play poker when I have little time as I only play tournaments, sometimes they can take 6 hours if you are playing good enough

I totally get your gist, but the fact is that just very few people see it this way and even the other category of people only uses this to console them. Playing gambling is like a addiction to the drug.If you got more dollars in any consecutive games,you will addicted to the gambling earn lot of money by just playing .From the children all love to play a game, if they got money for just playing. Firstly, you offer money and expect it to double based on whatever you play and hoping that your luck will help you out. You are not getting money for that because you are risking a lot and you may not even get yours back. That is totally different from being given money to do something.
