People gamble not just for entertainment because of the chance to win big money. It is entertaining because it gives you excitement even if you lose in the end.

I agree with you, gambling get people excited to earn some money at the end of the game, I think people like taking a risk due to gambling.

Actually playing games online also can make people excited, like some people compete on a tournament with a big prize.

But if I will be having a chance to choose from Gambling and Online Games with a great prize, I would rather choose Online games since I know that I will be competing in such game because I have a skill to it. Saying that, I can say that I have a higher chance of winning that certain big prize on Online game than on risking my money on Gambling.

There's one certain mistake you guys are making on this thread cause you seems not to understand that any play games of chance for money which money is involved is also gambling. Although, playing games will make things lifely by bring more funs and excitement to the player.

Video games can be fun but without having money on the line the excitement just isn't there.  Most people gamble because of the adrenaline rush that comes with winning large amounts of money.  But I guess you could combine both worlds and bet others on video games or bet on professional e-sport matches.

I don't think the adrenaline rush is the major factor in this, I think the truth is most gamblers have the false belief in the background that they are going to get a lucky streak eventually and win big, truth is it rarely happens.

It will be better if gambler quit gambling and start online games for fun, entertainment and time pass. Their money will also be saved. But the problem is that regular and addicted gambler cannot quit gambling and they will have to gamble then they will feel satisfaction no matter they lose or win but gambling is necessary for them to satisfy their addiction.

I agree, and it also has a time and place because you cannot just gamble anywhere (except if it's online) and it's more fun to play in a casino if you are with your friends. The same thing goes to online games like League of Legends, or ARK Online, depending on what type of games you like. You could always risk money with online gaming too, and you just need to find the right opponents to bet with.

Yeah, I know it's different but they still playing online games and in other time, they still playing gambling too. I don't know what their reason but I think as long as they can enjoy their time, they will still do both. Maybe if they are bored with gambling because they cannot win the game, they will stop for a while and only play an online game to get fun and enjoy the game.

Casino games are interesting because its about money. No online games offer money for just playing the games. While, casinos offer games where we can actually earn money or lose it. Let's look at the bright side, people would be very much interested in things where they could double or triple their money.

Why that price difference i the price both are supposed to drive right? Why some people were paying huge money to get the same driving experince? I get your point, that it's both drivings of a car. But the logic of gambling with you is that if you online gamble, you only bet a small amount. It can also be done in land-based casinos. They have slot machines that accept around $2 minimum, depending on the machine, and they are able to use that and accumulate it into a large amount of money. So, you do not need to have your few thousand bucks, just to gamble, you can do it with smaller money, let's say $20, it's up to you.

Probably you are playing on the VIP or for the rich tables where the minimum bet is a thousand bucks.

Stress plus regrets, as you may reassess what happen after losing your money then regrets will follow, a lots of stories already been told here about gambling experiences, though we do have our own opinions and probably differences  with this topic, a changing factors might be the actual amount

I think when someone wants to quit gambling, and he feels that is not easy, maybe he needs to talk to other people so they can help him to solve his addicting. I am sure if he can talk with the right person, that person will help him to get out from gambling and leave the gambling forever. I have a friend that is addicting in gambling too and fortunately, he can talk with his family, and his family is happy to see his decision to leave gambling and still support him to quit gambling.

Yeah you are right this guy gambles for losing and enjoy his losing because when you are not regular gambler you will never win the game and always losing is not entertainment I think. People were coming to gambling for making money so they will not be interested in learning the games and also people think that online games were for the kids do you think that old guys will choose that instead of gambling?

You can earn money from a game, that might be the mistake being made there.    THis is especially true with internet based games that can reach an audience of millions around the world and they are all connected quite closely despite the distance.  
To be skilled and most able out of those millions is a massive deal, so big you could earning an entire living and make a career even from being good at a game.


Any game this is possible in theory, so long as its popular and able to gain advertising interest from that audience then its a viable earner imo.  Even the old guys could find a game they are good at, presumably less based on reactions but I can think of a few that might be true of, involving more strategy.

The flipside to that would be many consider gambling to be a kind of game and these two sections of internet use do have a cross over to them, a mix of populations I think

If I get something against my money I will be happy but if nothing then obviously I will feel disappointment. The same is here in gambling. Some people say that they are gambling not for making money but for fun and entertainment. If I go for a long drive with my family or friends I spend lot of money I will be happy because I enjoy the trip but gambling is something different.
