Some people gamble instead of playing online games because in gambling there is a feeling of excitement while playing that you may have a large amount of money if you win unlike in online games, you may not get something from it or maybe just a little price. In gambling you are not only having fun but also hope that you will earn money.

Many but not all gamblers are claiming they gamble for fun and pass time. I was just thinking. If it is the reason why people gamble then why not play online games? There is a lot of good and challenging onlne games wherein you can interact with other people online?
True. Much better to play online games only and have fun than gamble with your money and lose. My husband and I loves to play poker online. It become our bonding moment when we are playing poker online and we enjoyed a lot with our millions of money while playing. When we get tired we then bet all our money all in and lose it all. We lose our millions but we enjoy playing it. At least, it is not a real money though. |

Many people chose to play in a landbased casino rather than online games maybe because they want different sorroundings especially when they are seeking for fun or to be entertained. Casinos now a days offered lots of different means of entertainment not just gambling. Such such as a variety shows, concerts and so on. And interaction in person are far different from online interaction.
That's right, it's all about their own preferences for entertainment. Online games could not satisfy their cravings for entertainment and also in gambling there's also money in stake so it would be more fun to win in a game in which you can also gain money. In every gamblers mind its a hobby and if you think on it why do online players or free gamers pick online gambling than the games that they are playing thats already of the reason to look how gamblers and online free gamers have differences in their games. Everyone has his own taste and way of enjoying. Some might find gambling online fun because they don’t have to shift themselves from one place to another, can enjoy the game anytime with a player from totally a different part of world. But playing online or in real, both have their own pros and cons. For instance, I think poker is more fun when played in real environment, having opponents sitting right in front of you. |

I think one of the main reason why some people prefer to use their time on gambling rather than gaming is because of the thrilling feeling they get when they are able to win huge money from the casino in just a few hours of their time, playing games online could never let you earn so much money in just a short period of time unless you are a professional gamer who take part in big major tournaments.

I also play some online games but sometimes I also want to have some excitement from gambling.
The thoughts of winning while your enjoying the games makes it more exciting sometimes I even use some online games that I play to make some money.

I agree with that and some experiences are better than others. It's going to be a one heck of a ride if you are going to risk everything. That's a different kind of thrill in my opinion but it's a stupid one. It's hard to earn real money in a big scale. You really have to work hard on it |

You should know the difference between playing online games and gambling games and what kind of "thing" it brings on a person. Different people have different aspect in terms of playing something. It's obvious that when someone deal with a gambling games, they looking for a profit in return while at the same time having fun. Those people who literally say they gambled for fun isn't really gambling just for fun. Somehow they want a return. That kind of traits removed their real meaning of gambling for fun so I don't believe that people gambled just for fun even they afford to lose the amount that will placed on bet. |

I've stopped asking myself this when I gamble. I used to spend huge portions of my days playing roleplaying games (pen and paper, dice) in my teens, and then for a period in early twenties drowned my waking hours with boardgame-style games. They were fun, very fun. Good that I slept so little so I still spent enough time working but still a lot of years down the drain.
But the risk that comes with gambling is something different entirely. I'm prone to lapses in judgment and self control but generally can keep myself from losing too much. More importantly, I don't spend as much time on the only leisure activity I still keep in recent years. I consider the amount I lose on gambling and sports betting as worthwhile for the entertainment I get.
Plus, maybe I win the lottery one day. Cough. Wheeze.

So basically the sensation of playing gambling and games online is totally different, of course. |

We millenials who are really into social media, online gaming, or anything connected to the internet and computer would love to play the games online but we should admit that still it is more enjoying when you are having it in the actual life. I personally don’t stick to online gaming only, I still like to play and gamble on the real world and I think this feeling is the same with those who are not “Techy”. They would find playing gambling in reality is easier and funnier than online.

Maybe because they found more fun playing in actual rather than in online. If you are playing in actual you can see what are people's reactions and emotions that's makes the players feel intense and challenging. |

Yes there are online games that can entertain us well and some of it can thrill you as if you are the player itself fighting in the opponent but I think its because gambling has different way to excite you. I mean when there is money involved its not like just you are entertaining yourself but also you have a chance to get incentives for doing your part as a player. We have different perspective on how we want ourselves to be entertain so maybe thats the reason.
