So I thoght this could be of help for some that also in search so they will also be inspired .. maybe they could also ad stuff arround here that could be of help!

Research it takes a few days/weeks so if u're in this fase take your time.

1.Forum search about the coin;
2.Join the telegram group and try to interact with the members;
3.Try to make a post on the forum and also see the crowd sentiment;
4.See some data on coinmarketcap.com , : https://icodrops.com/ , https://icorating.com/
5.Watch this tool from investing.com - find here the explination: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2873063.msg29503403#msg29503403
**LATER EDIT:
6. Team - research moust of the members on linkedin and google , also the backers or advisors.

Doing this can be of help to get a sense of a really good buy... at least this is what  I do.

What are your thoughts ? How do you do it??

Cheers!

I have a different way of investing on a specific altcoin, i prefer to invest on a well known altcoin like ethereum because i am assured that my coin will really grow its value. There are ico's who are promoting their coin but still there is no assurance on what will happen after their coins will be released in the market. The best thing to do is ask reliable people on what specific coin is the best to invest in order to earn more profit.

Before going to an Altcoin see their proof of concept if they have prototype it’s very good but also go through their whitepaper once if they have all these things then it can assumed to be good. I have seen signals whitepaper and team came to conclusion to get some coins of this. But this all depends on individual interest

Your strategy looks good. I'm still reading the whitepaper to understand at what point in time it's better to buy a coin. And also I look that for people stand behind the project, their achievements, previous projects, etc.

Your strategy is awesome. However, apart from the strategy you need to have logical thinking on what,when,where to invest. Strategy always won't work and there should be predictions, good decision and bit luck should favor you to succeed. All the best and keep up the good work.

Yes. You described the correct order of the necessary actions. I think this will help a lot of new people. Personally, I do this too, only I devote more time to the team. Since I do not give my money to people without work experience. And I also look at the advisers. How much they are known and what they say about the project.

I also follow these rules... and I add another one : "don't trust anybody!". The guru advisors that explains you where to invest never do it just because they're nice...

The thing with don't trust anybody is tricky just because crypto and online stuff relay on some piece of trust. If you were not trusting nobody, you would probably not going to give 1 penny to any coin. But i got your point... it's important to keep your eyes open and do your research before anything!! Cheers!

That's a pretty good approach, also applicable to ICOs and would definitely recommend to people doing that.
Obviously, either they are busy working and have a lot on their plate. The thing is that active devs may only be able to find little time to always interact, but most times they try as much as possible to post updates on what they are doing on their social media pages which is good enough. Most of the information that is needed are already online which anyone can easily lay hands on, and that should be good enough to know whether to be holding an altcoin or not.

Before buying a particular project, I would certainly advise you to still study the project and think about the prospects of this project. Because as far as I understand, every project requires attention. because you invest in the project your money.

Your personal perspective in choosing was good. It's relevant in every coins  to look for. For myself what i do is 1,2,3 and 6 in your guides.  Additionally, i look for it overall supply marketcap and most importantly the activeness of the team because any good coin with a team can be great however in a circumstance that the team is not doing a cooperation with the community will not a good one. IMHO

When the market is down or having blood bath then i pick the altcoins which i want or i had missed to ride on.
generally look for the projects which have strong base and are having ICO, getting into pre sale and ICO are best way to make nice profit with margin.

You advice is good and useful. I would just like to chip in some other things that i feel could possibly help, when buying or investing into an altcoin. You can look into the history of that coin and see the trend of the achievements mad since its inception. An altcoin with a stable market value has every tendency to continue to do well despite all odds.

Before buying any altcoin make sure to do an intensive research on the altcoin, by checking their social media accounts (twitter, facebook, telegram etc) know the people behind the altcoin how active are they in developing the project and read the whitepaper to have an idea about the altcoin.

Social media it's important too. The community management department it has to be one of the engines of each one so I think these are also a must.

Deconsidering these is definitely a minus...
I think many users already know how to do research before determining which coin is potential. sometimes I see a twitter account of one coin and see how their development. whether they have good goals in near-term such as pumps or specific price targets. when there are many people who talk about that coin with a hastag tag it might be a potential coin. I make it as a reference

First of all you should see nearest news of altcoin, apply technical analysis indicators, and only then make a conclusion about whether to buy or not.

The best attitude to take is: do your own research before investing in an altcoin.
Visit altcoin's official website, connect to its social networks, see its roadmap, check how many people support the project on social media, what its market value is.

I agree with you, First  make a research of which altcoins should be preferred to buy and choose which is good for short and long trade. Watch some trading videos which is can help as well. Also ask to your friends which is the best to buy that will gives a potential in the future. And before you invest in altcoins, used excess money.

The list is endless. You cannot possibly do everything that is required to ensure safety. But there are many threads in the forum that will tell you about doing your own research on the way to achieve decent results. Still there are many fakes out there so you won't be able to hold all of them just try not to put all your eggs in one basket..
