I totally agree with them, research and read about the altcoin  before you buy or invest in it. Find facts and see if it is realistic. Read the whitepaper, it is important. Find out what the coin is trying to solve and how will to accomplish it. What the developers plan in order to accomplish it? Is it attainable or not? Try to look at the roadmap as well. What are their goals and have they met this? Is the roadmap updated? Check also the team members if they really exist. Join forums and telegram to know the sentiments of others regarding the project. And remember, never invest what you can't afford to loose.

3.Try to make a post on the forum and also see the crowd sentiment;
4.See some data on coinmarketcap.com , : https://icodrops.com/ , https://icorating.com/
5.Watch this tool from investing.com - find here the explination: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2873063.msg29503403#msg29503403
**LATER EDIT:

Doing this can be of help to get a sense of a really good buy... at least this is what  I do.

What are your thoughts ? How do you do it??

Cheers!

Your tips and guidelines are very helpful not just for beginners but most of us here. We can't deny the fact that we made some mistakes in the past by investing  without investigating or searching about the project and its team. This information will definitely help us to choose the best and legit coins to invest.

That is just a method as good as any other, but at the end of the day you are trusting the information available on the internet including the one that other members give you about the coin.

Yes, that's right. The only thing I would cross out the second point. Well, personally, I did not, and yet is not going to. I think he's unnecessary.

I read white paper, i made some research of the company, people behind the project and I ask myself several times if I will really engage myself in the world of  cryptocurrency then I tried and trust one project.Until now I'm doing it.

of course, analyze first because if it is just indiscriminate buying will not fully get results. many considerations that must be made, therefore before the start of trading essentially the coin must know in advance.

Before buying an altcoin you need to research first about the background and stability of it. In the cryptocurrency world there are a lot of coins that exist with different function. The competition is tight and it's up to the buyer how meticulous he/she is. And I do agree that you need to read more about the coins that might interest you. Join a forum cause it will help you a lot too. Experts are willing to answer and help you.

I do some things before buying an alt coins. First, i research about this coin if it is legit because there's too many coins now and it is difficult to determine if this coin is original. So research in the google or just do posting in this bitcointalk.org and make survey . I am sure thaat the others know the kind of coin because their life is in here.

There are lots of things you need to do and to know first before buying an Altcoin. First you need to be experienced enough and I recommend reading and joining bounty campaigns first so you will not have regret and at the same time you will learn. Once you're ready, it is best to read the white paper and check the videos they play so you can check their products and their market. Joining their telegram will be helpful as well so you can ask questions if you will have.

Nice advise but what can help me more easier is the ICO ratings of a certain altcoins. Where I don't need weeks doing research and days are enough. We don't need a lot of time just to buy altcoins, I think, 3 - 4 days are enough for us to make research. But all in all, you got a great advise.

before you buy it you have to know the development of an altcoin, you can know it by reading in some forums that talk about it like telegram and other, you also have to see the exchange rate statistics, after you are sure then buy the coin you have selected
What I do when buying altcoin is to read in the forum about altcoin development and we choose to invest long-term or short-term because some,
people prefer long-term and more profitable And looking at the market conditions that reach the Cryptocurrency exchange I think we should be careful because of its huge risk

You must first read the roadmap and look at the graph, the graph should be without pump and the trend should be ascending.
Precisely, as an addition you must have a deep research. Think wisely before you buy. But I think the best time to buy is when the price is low in order for you to have a profit whenever you sell it. Think wisely so that we can avoid regrets.

Best way for buying an alt coin is investigate about the coin apply your mind for what to buy and what not,low price buying is the best buying so that you can sell at high price and earn profit and remain in touch with the coin, again advice don't be hurry think before you buy.

All thins on the list are really good but you really need to know the basics of trading like technical analysis and fundamental analysis you can know if it's the perfect time to buy some alts or not. It will minimize your losses and have some plan before trading like when you like to sell if that coins reach that price something like that. Goodluck.

Yes thats the best to do before buying an altcoin, for me I always search the best to buy. I check the project if their is an update always of their project. Team behind the project, supply and demand these helps me a lot throughout in choosing the best before buying.
