I study the technology and all the official information of the developer. Then I look for any mention in the Internet news. Forums and social networks - find out what people think about the currency or what they already know. Price dynamics in the market. All this should be reduced to a single table and a correlation between the cryptocurrency and subsequent conclusions and risks.

I am very serious about choosing and buying crypto currency. So as not to risk and minimize possible losses. I'd rather spend more time. But I will choose a worthy crypt. And I wish everything.

Research is very essential before investing into any altcoin, because not all altcoins worth buying. Some are scam and so many have turned to shut coins.

So I thought this could be of help for some that also in search so they will also be inspired .. maybe they could also ad stuff around here that could be of help!

Research it takes a few days/weeks so if u're in this fase take your time.

1.Forum search about the coin;
2.Join the telegram group and try to interact with the members;
3.Try to make a post on the forum and also see the crowd sentiment;
4.See some data on coinmarketcap.com , : https://icodrops.com/ , https://icorating.com/
5.Watch this tool from investing.com - find here the explination: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2873063.msg29503403#msg29503403
**LATER EDIT:
6. Team - research moust of the members on linkedin and google , also the backers or advisors.

Doing this can be of help to get a sense of a really good buy... at least this is what  I do.

What are your thoughts ? How do you do it??

Cheers!

That's a great idea.. it could help the beginners here in cryptocurrency world especially those who are taking the risk in investing or buying coins... It is really important to know because if we didn't do a research our coin is always at risk so we better know them first before taking an action..

You have posted good guidelines and this can help newbies like me to invest but I also notice that although the ICO are good and well manage some of them are still having a hard time reaching their softcap, or being paused by the developers for some unknown reason it is really a box of chocolate you never know what's in it.

This is pretty good, it is basically the same thing that I do before I buy any altcoins especially when it comes to buying new altcoins. There is just no telling what it is that will be happening with the coins but the best thing that we can always do is to arm ourselves with as much information as possible and this is a good way for us to do that.

In the cryptocurrency world there are a lot of coins that exist with different function. The competition is tight and it's up to the buyer how meticulous he/she is. And I do agree that you need to read more about the coins that might interest you. Join a forum cause it will help you a lot too.

Before investing in cryptocurrency, I estimate its value at the present time and the dynamics of its price growth for different time periods.

Very good suggestion during due diligence. I like that your research takes time around few days or week because it should be like that.
An intense research is required to be right on choosing some coins, and of course it will takes your time.

Before you join Crypto’s any of the coins, make sure you ask around on this forum, join all the groups on telegram, follow them on Instagram and even twitter accounts. It really helps, especially in case of PRG, ICX and XRP.

Before buying Altcoin, I always check prices and orders to buy and sell, I will also look at the trend of coins so I can determine whether it is more or will bounce. I did not take much research to buy altcoins and for me, it was enough to choose an altcoin which at that time was a high trading volume that allowed price movements to tend quickly.

I am most interested in the team and their background. I look at the whitepaper and the quality of the idea and the feasibility. I prefer some kind of working project instead of just vaporware. Because I do believe that good ICOs and Altcoins have a strong social communities where ICO and Altcoins staff, admins, investors, holders and supporters are discussing related and non related stuff regarding the ICO and Altcoin projects.

Most of the time you need to check the market value of the project, which is a very critical factor. If you think prices can go up even higher in the long run, then you can buy it now, and the price is still at the bottom.

Very good recommendations. The main thing is not to be lazy and try to fully explore the project. But unfortunately, our investments in the crypto market are not insured. Even if you exclude fraud, the developers sometime may tritely lack the strength to launch the project ...

this is what I did before buying altcoin. At least the steps above, it will be very helpful to eliminate some projects, and narrow down the choices, because now there are too many startups that do ico at the same time. I always check the graph and see what happens with the coin. I check prices and orders to buy and sell, I look for support on each order and if I can find support.
