Why almost everybody suggest to hold?

Hi all,
I have a really simple question or so seems to me cause i am a crypto noob.
I really do not understand why almost everybody suggest to hold when there is a dip or correction.

With my simple noob logic i think that when there is a dip someone could sell at the start of the dip or do something else (e.g. buy tether y i know the rumors or something similar anyway) and then buy again later when the correction has stop or decrease.

Obviously no one knows when there is a many days dip and when it will end in order to buy but even so one can save much money just for sell and buy in between even without predict the absolute start and end of a dip.

I hold as everyone suggests but i now realise that if i had sell even a couple days before even yesterday-and not right after the start of the dip and buy lets say now i would have save a bunch of money relatively with what i am doing now which is hold.

I really must be missing something since i am crypto noob orelse i cannot explain why everyone suggest hold while i fear that real pros are doing the oppossite.

I would like to ask only experienced people who know what they are talking about to give their opinions cause i am fed up reading pseudo crypto pros everywhere around. I bet many of you understand what i mean. Everybody has become a crypto pro . Well i am a crypto noob and i need your heads up.

Because holdig will lessen or should I say no loose on your holding. When you know what coin you are trading and the price was gone low after you buy, you will just loose the capital when you sell lower. We suggest to hold in that kind of situation, because no one knows what would really happen the future, no have made it correctly to predict it.

Holding do have a corresponding risk or just like a gamble and if you do tend to risk to hodl since you do believe on recovery of the market then you can do such thing. People do always suggest this thing because our investments cant be still considered on losing side as long we didnt sell it and still idling on our own wallets. Holding is the thing we can do now specially on a crashing market.

That's why you don't listen to people's opinions on what to do with your money. But sure, you could have sold a couple of days ago it would be better for you. But did you know that a price drop would happen and what day would it occur? Probably not right?

But I get why people are always suggesting to hold, as it's because people in the crypto space gets easily panicked when price drops occur.

Because rather than stay away on the game, take advantage of that dip by buying more to increase the quantity of your stash.

Maybe not applicable on other altcoins but in bitcoin, you have reasons to believed that it will soon bounce up.

Market is unpredictable so if anyone thinks that their hold coins will soon rise even after experiencing a large dump, it's really not a wise way to just dump it to minimize their losses.

If you know and understand the risks of simple holding, you will understand why some people still suggesting HODL. You don't need to learned that internally and forcely because as soon you progress, you will automatically learned what Im trying to say here.

You will soon left the NOOB status.

Think about the details what your aim and purpose why you are here in bitcoin forum? Is it just for fun and you wanted to talk to someone? Of course not, we are here to help bitcoin to grow and in order for it to grow we must at least have some of it and hold for a long time, but what are we doing? Do you think we are helping.

It's the easiest and most effective way to earn money. of course like today you loss because btc is low but if you just hodl it you can profit significantly. but that's long term.

Actually we don't know weather it will go more into the deep or it will start the pump now so it's so difficult to decide when we are in the midst of the dump stage.  We don't read or we don't predict the price now. So, almost all of us suggests to hodl now and not to sell, better to buy now because the price is still in the deep. We can't do anything now but to hodl and wait for the perfect price.

Almost all of the people suggesting to HODL have been involved long enough in the Bitcoin market to witness it grow from a three figures to a five figure value in the past year and it comes as no surprise that they would suggest everyone to HODL in this bearish trend. The eventual rebound is bound to happen sooner or later and those who would've held on patiently will be the ultimate winners.

I think they suggest to hold because they are expecting that it will grow higher and they get some or they can make there investment doubled.
This is also a test of patience but of course there is corresponding consequence. You must be ready for it.

looks like the NOOB wanted to gain more MERIT at the same time,thats why trying to open same threads in single sections delete the other one OP this is enough for good conversation lol 😂.

Anyway we always say HOLD or HODL because this is what we think is right to do and we are encouraging other users so we can minimize the dumping of the said coins like bitcoins in which the target of many fuds and negative issues around here..but this is not an obligation anyone of us has the right to do what they think is right in their part..

as per me , if with every dip , everyone start selling then then that will cause to market crash at sudden .
2nd thing you dont know when dip will start and how much low it may go , in case if you are noob .
for a day trader he knows well when to invest and when to sell .

It's a little strange to me also, actually. Holding isn't aomething that occurs to me as a suggestion for trading. It's more of a stance you take as a long-term viewer.

To me, if you're a serious and regular trader, then you have clear entry and exit points. A stop loss is the basic risk management tool every trade should specify. Don't remove it except to trail gains, definitely not to change according to hold suggestions!

You are right when the price drops people will get panic and sell their coins. And this market is unpredictable today the price will decrease, and tomorrow it will increase. I think you knew how the price fluctuated last December. In just 2 to 3 days it raised $5 to $6k. That's why experts predicted this year the price would cross $40k and suggested people hold Bitcoins. But now suddenly because of some governament restrictions against Bitcoin use, the price is falling.

I don't know about other altcoins, But I firmly believe Bitcoins, and I will suggest people to hold bitcoins.

We suggest to people to rather hodl their cryptocurrency position than selling it at a loss. People who are tempted to sell when it is too late to jump is of course a bad idea when they do so. Also yes you are right we can do other things when Bitcoin is correcting but the problem here is people who are currently holding here like what I said earlier can't jump ship right now as by doing so they will only be incurring a loss. The only way a person can participate in the dip is when he has sold his coins before the dip or by injecting additional cash for buying cryptocurrencies.

thats the main reason why op is questioning the suggestion regarding hodling,if only we all knows when would be the dip or growth maybe all of us are rich by now..but its not no one has the knowledge to find the right answer for what would happen every movement coins has.so better hold when talking about bitcoin because we surely know it will recover in future.

Since a lot of here are so pissed of to their work so they have embraced this kind of opportunity where in we have proven that could lead us to success for as long as we will just do it with our heart if we will just devote our time here, and I know that almost all of us don't just want to rely on what they are earning from their job as it will not lead to them to success and they could not buy anything that they want.

If you fail to hold and sell off in panic then you will lose. People are holding because they are already down and if they sell off then they will lose. It is only when you hold that if the price appreciate then your profit will come.
