Hi all,
I have a really simple question or so seems to me cause i am a crypto noob.
I really do not understand why almost everybody suggest to hold when there is a dip or correction.
With my simple noob logic i think that when there is a dip someone could sell at the start of the dip or do something else (e.g. buy tether y i know the rumors or something similar anyway) and then buy again later when the correction has stop or decrease.
Obviously no one knows when there is a many days dip and when it will end in order to buy but even so one can save much money just for sell and buy in between even without predict the absolute start and end of a dip.
I hold as everyone suggests but i now realise that if i had sell even a couple days before even yesterday-and not right after the start of the dip and buy lets say now i would have save a bunch of money relatively with what i am doing now which is hold.
I really must be missing something since i am crypto noob orelse i cannot explain why everyone suggest hold while i fear that real pros are doing the oppossite.
I would like to ask only experienced people who know what they are talking about to give their opinions cause i am fed up reading pseudo crypto pros everywhere around. I bet many of you understand what i mean. Everybody has become a crypto pro . Well i am a crypto noob and i need your heads up.

Everyday suggest to hold because it's the best way to earn a big profit. Holding bitcoin is a giant savings that it you just patiently wait you will wait for the price of bitcoin who's gonna give you the best future in life. Many latest people in bitcoin are rich now. They are rich created by bitcoin. |

As they believe in the future, BTC and altcoin prices will rise sharply. But in my opinion the BTC prices will not rise sharply in the future, as they compete with many other alcoins. Currently, some Blockchain technologies are more advanced than the BTC. They will probably dominate the market for BTC. So choose for you a penny of investment and potential hold.

Holding does have the corresponding risk or it is just like gambling, but if you wait for a good coin, this wait is a good way to increase the yield. You just have to wait for the market to recover.

I think I still have to believe in my own judgment. If you think that you shouldn't continue to hold the currency when it falls, and you have your own reasons and judgments, then you should do what you want. After all, success is a minority. Sometimes you don't need to see other people's ideas.

of course many advise to hold bitcoin because bitcoin price is currently down and I think the best thing to do is hold and wait for bitcoin price will go back up again, unless you already get profit then it does not matter if you want to sell it

The main reason why everybody suggest to hold our bitcoins is because we are aware that this time is not the right time to sell our bitcoins. The price of the bitcoin will become more valuable so it is better to make long term investment. |

Because we will lose value if we sell it so hold and wait for the price to increase.So every traders needs patience if we are invested on crypto currencies.And other reason for hold is if we sell our coin it will male the price to fall more so everyone need to hold of the price needs to recover.

one reason i seen why everybody suggest hold, i'm also agree on that strategy hold and wait to raised the value in the market to earn huge amount of profits bitcoin or altcoins. i recommend do not listen to the other person how long to hold your bitcoin use it if you need to spend it for your family because family needs are important than anything.
I dont agree with you mate and yes needs are important but selling at lost price is something totally unacceptable. This the reason why I said hold and wait through dump in price season are old strategy form of trading while converting your investment into Tether is the modern form of securing investment. holding may ever have the two side that it could be the best choice and there is always some bad things that could be ever happen we can say and suggest for what could be the safest thing but this is may always depends on what particular coin are you trying to hold for. You made a reasonable point cause the particular ones is trying to hold will determine if the holding technical is the best but I'm trying to give people that bought at the high price the things to do to avoid loosing their capital. |

For me i will keep holding only for alt coins with bright future since current price is dropping cause i know in due time market will recover trading is a cycle there is always an up and down be prepared always and have plenty of patience. crypto trading is much riskier than any currency trading in every country. |

This is not the first time market is down, or the last and the experience is telling that the price will recover. If you are an serious investor you will not give up on the first sign of price fall or some issues on the market. With time you will fugure out that by yourself.

Yeah you are right be with long term vision don't get confused by short term bumps and dumps.The people who think same like that when bitcoin was around $50 sold their bitcoin but the people who hold the bitcoin at that time got the real profits so we need to understand the benefit of holding long term. |

Because holding is the easiest form of investment hands down but of course that's long term and i recommend or let you try that check it only weekly or monthly.

We depend heavily on whales. we always see ups and doown in crypto market, but it does not mean that we should lose hear and should start selling, in stead of panic selling we need to give support to bitcoin, we should hold our shares and should try to buy more. Everybody suggest to hold because the market is in condition of panic selling and in panic sale you will go into maximum loss, So that is why almost everybody wants to suggest to hold instead of panic sale and advised to sell in high price after some wait,

The reason why is because in the month like this, all coins in cryptocurrency are bleeding.
It pumps only once, then it dumps many times so some who has an investment in suddenly downfall prefer to just hold their coins to avoid having losses and maintain profit.

One painful lesson i learnt is it doesn't hurt to take profit, holding is wise only in bear market but in bull market i feel hodling is greedy. Too long and you end up having to persevere through the bear market. A better move might be to have always a reserve amount of fiat at all times, to take advantage of whatever movement the market might take. Usually in crypto nothing ever goes according to plan, thats what I mean

Usually because it is difficult to predict future prices with certainty, so if you hold you will not miss an eventual reversal. However, if you are pretty sure the price will go lower then you can take the risk and sell with the idea of buying lower, but then, you actually have to buy lower, before it rises again.

Because Hodling is the best way you can do, you wait and if the price goes up then you'll be sitting pretty in the future if you have funded a huge amount of fiat converted into crypto. if you just sell your crypto's and if the price goes high then you'll regret about it, it doesn't matter how you do buy and selling at all, what really matter's here is if you really know how crypto blockchain works then it will lead you to HODL, thats all.
