I mostly mine and hodl, but my friend day trades and says I should start getting into it. What do you prefer to do and do you think there is a better route to take? I personally think it's all up to personal preference, I'm new though.
I simply hold, I'd like to to some trading but it would be something new to me and at the moment I don't have enough time to study how it works... For sure if you only hold you live with less stress than those who trade  Grin

Yes it does depend on your preference and where you feel comfortable with making money with, for example; I tried day trading first and did that for a month but I was not really earning as much as I was expecting so I feel like it wasn't for me. Then ventured into long term instead because I could not really fit in my schedule day trading and maybe that could be the reason why I wasn't good at it, but surprisingly I gained more profits from long term than short term.

I am engaged in the accumulation of crypto coins, the goal is profit on buying and selling at a difference in exchange rate, and the profit is very profitable if you understand how exchanges work

My first step is always to study the market and invest in the best ICO. Once that is done, I wait for the ICO to stabilize and then rise.
Once I feel that my ICO is giving me sufficient returns (50% and above), I immediately sell it off and get back to step one. There is no point holding something when you know it will come down from peak. The harsh truth is that entire cryptocurrency market is seen more as an asset instead of a currency. Everyone wants good returns on their investments and that is why people invest here.

hey, i was interested in investing, i have invested in real estate before. Recognizing that the crypto market is the potential and trend of the modern world. I watched the market and learn a while and I came to the crypto just like everyone here, trading - investing in crypto to make a profit by holding or trader. I'm sure it's the mind of the majority of users here.

it depends on your skills and mindset, if you are the one who can cope with stress and have the ability for daily trading than it according to me would be more profitable but not everyone is capable on doing that.

at the initial stage you need to study the market, its nuances, subtleties and risks. also remember one recommendation: successful trading of any assets has one formula: buy cheap, sell expensive. crypto-currencies are not an exception Wink

If I currently have a crypto coin. What I will do with the crypto I have, I will buy coins that have good prospects for the future. Then I will monitor developments in the market until the values go up and I will sell some coins which I think have given me enough profit for me. In addition, I will invest my coins by buying other good coins as well.

Buy and Hold or Swing trading is the best for me based on experience, day trading is so stressful in this kind of volatiliyy and most of the time it will rekt you. In day trading 100 correct trades can be wiped by one wrong one. Focus on stability and long term holding of solid coins.

The current market is in a downward trend so I think the current crypto trade is very dangerous. You can choose when the market rebound to sell and take back capital or continue to hold when the market rebounds again next month. Keep watching the market continuously as it can fluctuate at any time.

I'm pretty new as well... I'm trying to get a lay of the land still. But this is my list of things to do so far:

Buy coins and hold them (long term investing)
Buy coins and spend them (to buy products, services, or other coins... the whole idea is to spend them, right?)
Do more short term trading between currencies to make money (short term trading)
Buy alt coins and hope they go up
Look for ICOs and buy tokens if you think its a good investment

anyone want to add to or amend this list?

I started the bitcoin trade since last year. I have to trade many times every day. Later, I realized that this mode is not suitable for me. I didn't have a lot of money and especially good news sources, just by feeling operation. After three months of doing this, I found that the short - term transaction was working for the exchange, and now I have determined the long-term investment plan. No matter how volatile the market is, I will stick to it.

During bear markets such as these I do nothing with my coins. I mainly just hold and when I can I buy even more into the market and expand my portfolio as much as possible then just hold those too.

well, you need to decide it yourself, my opinion is to hold till you can (unless you are in need of money badly). trading could get you some extra but consumes huge time and attention.

yes everyone has their own way. but to get the most out of it, you can follow the activity in this bitcointalk.org forum. such as mining, investment, trading, and bounty hunting. I do 3 things except mine.
