Can Blockchain Survive Without Bitcoin

Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference to its success, providing a secure network for users.

The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?

am surprised to see this kind of question if blockchain will survive without bitcoin.
bitcoin is not helping blockchain rather blockchain is helping bitcoin so even without the existence of bitcoin blockchain will stand.

Bitcoin is better due to the advancement of the blockchain technology. I believe the question should have been asked in the opposite direction. Blockchain is a technology that is meant to add value to how transactions are done in world of cryptocurrencies.

You should do more research on your investment, blockchain technology was here since 1950s, however it still is primitive and only few people understand what the new technology is about back then, until some decades that they found out it can be used as means of currency, thus bitcoin was born, also I hope you didn't ask this question just to have fun or make fun of people here, since before we invested in bitcoin, we studied it, we did research and you cannot remove blockchain technology from bitcoin, since it needs block chain technology just like other coins who uses the same technology but has different algorithm, I wouod suggest to research more, since it is a complicated topic at start.

If bitcoin dies tomorrow it will take years for the crypto market to recover, but it eventually will. This is not happening though, bitcoin is here to stay 

I'm not convincing that there's a substitute for bitcoin, let alone the bitcoin to die, until now it's hard to find a replacement, many altcoins are alive but back to death after a few months later. bitcoin will still be present ....

In my opinion the blockchain will survive even without Bitcoin it is because of many cryptocurrency. The recent flactuation in Bitcoin and  altcoin price has resuscitated the debate on cryptocurrencies functioning  as a true store of value,it's because of underlying technology, blockchain.

for now I think bitcoin is still a guide for cryptocurrency but for the future no one can know the future but big hope bitcoin will remain and bitcoin is cryptocurrency will encourage the development of other currency in cryptocurrency

blockchain is a system that bitcoin used to store their transaction, if bitcoin dont use blockchian i think blockchain still can survive, becauet there are many altcoin in the public that still using blockchain as their sysem, so if bitcoin leaves blockchain its okay for blockchain to survive

It is possible that bitcoin was born before the blockchain, but unfortunately with bitcoin, the blockchain can still exist in the same way as the mother gave birth to have a new mother to us but if unfortunately mother lost, then they We can still survive

Though if not for Bitcoin advent and initiation, Blockchain wouldn't have started or existed from the scratch. But been as it may, Bitcoin the Pioneer or mother coin had built and developed Blockchain for it's survival. However, the existence of this Blockchain had fascinated so many other Altcoins with various innovation of different sources, meaning a lot much more are still coming up on Blockchain Technology other than the existing ones. This bounds to state and agreed that the Blockchain can still be existing and survive even if Bitcoin terminates today, though which it's not just happening in decades at all.

Yes block chain can still survived with out bitcoin, it just that bitcoin has huge transactions in block chain compare to other tokens, because it is much more famous than to other tokens, but still it can survived even with out bitcoin.

I'm sure it will. Blockchain is not bitcoin. It's the techmology that drives btc and all other alts. Without blockchain though bitcoin and probably the whole cryptomarket won't go very far

This is synonymous to asking if there would be fuel without automobile or if there would be bank without fiats money. In any case they are mutually exclusive but the existence or non existence of the latter does not hinder the existence of the former. In other words, bitcoin was built off blockchain , however blockchain doesn't need Bitcoin to exist. Bitcoin was unequivocally relevant to the mainstream adoption of blockchain but moving forward, blockchain is simply independent.

Yes that is possible, but i think that if bitcoin will not survive it will have a huge impact on all other crypto currencies and on blockchain, because bitcoin has too much contribution in making blockchain popular and if bitcoin will not survive it will really effect the image of blockchain too much.

As evidenced by the marketcap of all cryptos, they mostly increase as Bitcoin increases and decrease as Bitcoin decreases. This is mainly because bitcoin is the most popular crypto and anyone who mentions blockchain technology attaches bitcoin as one of the core features. I believe that bitcoin to some extent holds blockchain technology and it will be difficult for blockchain to survive without bitcoin.
