Any experienced investor would go for both. They put big amount in long-term investment and some semi-liquid short-term investment for - you know, people neds cahs sometimes for unexpected reasons.

Bitcoin is the very first crypto currency. This is its unique value. But this is only the tip of the iceberg, which is really attractive for long-term investments, it is made by a limited issue and a feature of mining, which assumes a reduction in the reward for the found block by about once every 4 years.

I would consider and suggest long term investment . Watch the market closely buy the coins really dumped hard . Day trading really panic and you loose all your peace as well as money . This is what I experienced with day trading . So i never recommend day trading to anyone.

The limited nature of any asset makes it attractive for long-term investments. The limited issue of bitcoin in 21 million coins and the difficulty of mining twice every 4 years in the long run inevitably lead to a stable growth in value and, theoretically, this growth should be 25% per annum (or 100% for 4 years), but in practice we see , that Bitcoin grows much faster!

You did not think to consider other currencies for long-term investment? In addition to bitcoin, there are others. They also put good hopes.

For example? The ethereum? Or altcoin some? What are their prognoses and prospects? I would like to have a clear prediction on the future of each type of crypto currency before investing.

The younger "brother" bitcoin, Litecoin, differs from the older brother only by a 4-fold increase in the volume of total emissions.
Attractive for long-term investments is its undervaluation in the market. If Litecoin is still the same bitcoin, but only with emission 4 times greater than bitcoin, then the price for it, theoretically, should be only 4 times less than that of bitcoin. But in fact, we see that the price of Litecoin is lower than the price of bitcoin by about 65 times. Thus, it can be concluded that Litecoin is undervalued by the market by about 16 times (65 / 4≈16), which makes it very attractive for long-term investment.

Dash. Another crypto-currency with a limited emission is 22 million coins. As you can see, the total emissions of Dash and Bitcoin are almost the same, but this is only theoretically, in reality the total Dash emissions will be much lower (10% of Dash emissions goes to the development of the project). The annual reduction in Dash emissions is 7%, which also has a beneficial effect on its cost.

Hello my dear Bitcoin brothers.

I would like to ask you about your experience with day/swing trading vs. long term investing and also,
what was more profitable for you and what are pros and cons for both ways of trading?

This question interests me since market is very volatile and it can get quite easy to exploit daily range for a quick small profit.

Thank you fellas.
In long term you can gain and earn more profit from your money rather than investing  in short term period so much Better invest in long term to achieve all your financial goals

When choosing a short-term investment, you should first of all evaluate the following:
1.  falling or ascending Trend
2. Which capitalization
3. Exchanges
4. Trading volume per day
5. The cost of a coin
6. Volatility

Long term investment is profitable in case of bitcoin. Because bitcoin prices doesn't get increase a lot in just a single day, it takes some time to if you want good profit.

Do you know any formula for calculation? Tell us what you need to know, what figures to get the exact data. I'm interested. I just consult friends and details they do not tell me.

Yes, I forgot that the result of this data should be calculated the optimal price for entry into the investment market. So that you can earn and not lose your savings.

You need
1. to add the maximum and minimum value of the price  and divide 2
2. add the last cost
3. divided by 2

Everything is simple

For the time being, I only held up for short-term investments
And my friend told me that he has risen very much on long-term ones, but so far I have not risked doing this

My specialist said that this calculation formula is correct only if its result is less than the last price on the exchange (Last price). That is, there are exceptions in it.

Of course i have. But since it's a BTC forum i like to talk about it exclusively. But for long-term btc is atm, the safest imo.

Do you have so much time to keep tracking the prices every minute ? This is good option for people doing this full time, also trade with alt coins.

In my experience in trading so far, both had been profitable but it actually depends on your availability to handle the type of investment. For example, if you'd go for short term trading of course you must have all the time you need to check on your coins compared to long term trading wherein you just set a certain month on when you will check back your coins if you gained profit or not.

I prefer choose short-term investments because as we know the price of this bitcoin is fluctuate or very quickly changing so I think bitcoin is more suitable as a method of short-term investment

This is exactly why i posted this question. Unlike other coins, BTC as the biggest one, is the most stable and less risky with short term idea. And the differences in btc price can vary up to 8% each day, so if you can buy at dips and sell at highs you can make a little profit everyday and expand the portfolio to buy more at the next dip.
