There are a number of aspects that need to be addressed before you decide to spend your own time doing bounty tasks. As if you were planning to invest their money in ICO.
Team (advertising, their profiles in social. network, experience in the development of the blockchain)
Availability of white paper on the website (official document)
Road map
Page ICO and the number of subscribers / discussions in the social. networks, Github.com Bitcointalk.org other sites
In addition, the telegram Cryptomount channel will regularly publish relevant campaign "bounty", which passed the minimum analysis

how to check the bonty program is legit or sexcem. sometimes there are bounty programs that do not include the spreadsheet
If the bounty program does not even include a spreadsheet then be careful, this does not necessarily means it is a scam but if they do not even take the time to keep track of the participation of the bounty hunters then how are they going to pay them, a likely answer is that they wont, not having a spreadsheet is a huge red flag, most of the bounties I saw that did not paid their participants were bounties were a spreadsheet was not used.

When choosing a project, it is necessary to take into account such a moment as the attitude to the work of the campaign management. It is necessary to look at the messages of other users about the management of the campaign, if there are many negative reviews, then the project should be bypassed. Each normal manager for any task creates a form for filling in on a specific template, specifying a link to the participation results, all browsing and painstakingly filling the data into tables with shared access.

You can check the bounty's website, check the people behind the project, read the whitepaper ,a successful ICO has always a good working product so you should check it too,the background and the crediblity of the team behind it,whitepaper and roadmap should be indicated into the website, token allocations should be ideal and considerable, these are just the common things that we should dealt with.

I do not think that there is a universal way. We need to study the materials of the project, their white paper and so on. well helps to know the reputation of a bounty manager.

Good Question... But it's not simple. you have to do research on it.
    - 1st check their project. project idea has to be uncommon, but It will able to attract people.
    - and check their website, Team, advisors, whitepaper and Roadmap. this fact must be in good quality
    - Check bounty pool
    - check bounty manager. if he has a good reputation on bitcointalk you can put more trust in the bounty program
    - check their campaigns
    - Check their bounty spreadsheet.. if it well organized with all weeks that's good point
I guess this enough for filter scams. but I don't say this will filter all of the scams. everything has risk percentage. good luck

You will never know this 100%. Of course, you need to follow some markers. People described them above. But do not forget that the rules can change at any time. Almost every bounty has a condition - the team can change the conditions at any time. Do not be surprised at all. Even the best managers and companies can be compromised.

wow, this thread is really helpful for us newbies to read.
I really enjoyed reading this and learned a lot.

Now I may have to read more white papers before investing.

I think you can find out if there is a bounty thread for this project in the telegram group of this ICO project.
If the official admits it, the bounty will usually be paid on time. Grin

there are many factors that can be checked.
eg project ideas and ideas, whether interesting to follow or not.
in the meantime there are clear teams, allocations for a definite project, and always update information about the project

Learn the concept and the purpose of existence of the ICO are not helpful. check the website and experience the team that runs the ICO with thorough, experienced team will produce a huge project that was successful too.

I agree with you here. Many people overlook one of the most important factors while choosing a bounty campaign which is the bounty manager himself/herself. The chances for a bounty campaign to become successful increase drastically if a bounty manager with a high trust rating backs the project. For example, Sylon is one of the most successful bounty managers in this forum who has backed some of the most successful projects to date. Along with this factor, other important factors include the whitepaper, team behind the project, level of activity of the team, github development etc.

investigate their platform, think of yourself as an investor, check their team if the names are real, and also check their partners if they can influence many investors out there.

Do some research about how nice the project is,the offers if is to good to be true we should be careful of that I experienced like these before they offer so good but in the end a scam, also the community if how big it is because the bigger community they have means a lot like that bounty or check telegram by joining the group to see latest updates.

Spreadsheet is the most important factor to see if the program or bounty is legit or scam, because this is where you can see the progress of all the people who are participating in the bounty. If the bounty doesn't have this and cannot show any spreadsheets, for me it is meaningless to continue on this kind of bounty because you will surely gonna be scammed.  Other things gonna be for the dev team and admins.

first of all, i check the team of the project and their cv. read the whitepaper and study their road map.
Is there any unique idea or is it a copy of another project. i read the comment on social media.
These are not totally enough to know but you can have an idea at least.

Try to make friends here especially the pioneer members and try to ask them which the ICO are legit or should I say go with them or follow, I mean search their current ICO you can find that at the bottom of their comment or reply. You must be polite always  to approach them so that it will help you a lot Grin.
