Investing in IKO is rather risky, but profitable. Bitcoin is a more reliable investment, in addition, you can play on the waves. In my opinion, it is better to do both.

You can do that at the same time because buying bitcoin and investing in ICO is the same profitable it's up to you how strategy you will do for your investment.  Holding is good but investing is good too.

In my opinion, now you should invest in BTC, as they are safer for you. Although the BTC increases very high prices, they will remain permanently and widely accepted, the liquidity BTC higher than the new tokens born.

if you are new investor first do some research before investment in any currency and don't invest in ICO because now a day their are alot of acam ico running which are scam money from every one. my advise to you bitcoin is the king of all crypto currency and now bitcoin price are so cheap if you invest now in bitcoin and wait tell couple of months you will get highest profit from bitcoin.

the safest way to invest in cryptocurrency is buy bitcoin, nothing else
except you have enough experience to learn more and do a research about ICO project
so, you will minimize the risk

I came across a thread stating "Investing in coins with high values? Or low values? or in ICOs". Same thread here. I would better choose fifty fifty here. Would invest half of my capital into BTC and invest half into buying ICO tokens as i trust both would yield me a good profit. The main thing need to be aware when investing into ICO is the ICO should be legit ICOs with good projects and a strong team behind.

Bitcoin in my opinion is a more powerful process, and it looks more confident compared to other cryptocurrency coins, and exchange until I advise, you can try your luck on bitcoins, the more chance is great.

I think you should try to invest in both. Divide you starting investment, for example, in eth and bitcoin and then when you will find a nice project use a part of this to join. My advice is also to make a lot of airdrops, sometimes they can help you to learn “easy” money.

I have been in this space for almost a year now and am still to invest in my first ICO. I have been following a few ICO's and noticed that there are delays very oftenly. You really have to be patient when investing in an ICO. Ofcourse the returns can be very big but in my honest opinion you can find similar opportunities in projects that are already on the market and trading on multiple exchanges!

Very happy to discuss this, because I am also new in the crypto market.
My friend says that the safest investment now is to buy Bitcoin and hold it. But if you want to invest in an ICO project, you should really know the prospect about the ico in the future, because many ICO are scam now. Investments in ICO projects are at greatest risk.

my take is that you invest in ICO considering the fact that you are a newbie but also because bitcoin takes longer. investing in bitcoin now can be discouraging because of the current situation of the market

I certainly recommend you to buy Bitcoin and invest in the long term in Bitcoin. Yes indeed many good and promising ICO. But the more promising is certainly Bitcoin. No more good coins other than Bitcoin. But if you want to invest in ICO, you should really choose ICO that has good prospects for the future.

which is good. But as far as I see you should spend 30% of your money to invest in ICOs. This will bring you much profit if you invest in a good project.

well an ICO is way more risky than simply buying btc but the outtake is way more than holding btc. with the right research you should be able to take your risk to a minimum. For example take Eiracube or ORCA. Great projects with HUGE potential

It' doesn't really show class when someone asks for some genuine advice, and someone else tries to plug the projects they are invested in. Roll Eyes

I advise you to invest in ICO instead of buying Bitcoin but first make sure the Ico you choose is legal so you should read it thoroughly. You can also do it simultaneously. You can join ICO and then buy Bitcoin for a bigger chance of having a high profit. Because ICO is the only thing you have to do with Ico. I think this is the best way to get involved with this market slowly and with more caution before getting involved.

both will benefit you, but they have their own risk,
Investing in ICO can be very profitable but you have to choose a really good ICO and not a fraud. and Investing in Bitcoin you must be prepared to do long term.
