Bitcoin still has bigger community than altcoins so in my opinion the price will keep growing in the long term. Many expert predicted the price of BTC can be going to $90K in next 2 years. But Bitcoin and others altcoin like ETH and LTC has the same future, will continue growing because more and more people will interesting and jump in to crypto and blockchain technology that will increase the demand.

Bitcoin can be said to be the most profitable investment today. With the increasing popularity level then Bitcoin is believed to be a pioneer for digital currency so that one day digital currency can be reversed legally on a financial system in an institution / agency / place / country. If viewed in a track record then Bitcoin has shown a good graph to be used as an investment. Long-term investment is indeed an option and this is a good time to say that Bitcoin has brought tremendous changes to the financial system in the world for the better.

I think there are many other coins which could be good for long-term Hold ETH for example ,maybe some privacy coins Monero,Dash,Onion so BTC is not only coin i think.

As of now Bitcoin and Ethereum are those coins that needed long term holding for you to maximize their potentials as part of the future currencies. I think they are the stable coins in the market and have the potentials to be part of the next generation market, so holding those coins can give you more chance of earning huge amount of money in the future if you take good care of them. So if you have the money in your pocket right now go and start buying them and make a risk of holding those because here in crypto world the more you risk the more chance you succedd.

In my opinion, the price of BTC will increase in the future, but keep them long at risk in the scammers, we just loopholes can lose the account. So if you are able to accept a profit, you should sell it. That would be better, do not be too greedy to wait for the price too high.

I think it's better to invest in bitcoins for a long-term perspective. He, like all top coins, has a good growth potential. Of course, you need to follow the news in the media and the behavior of the market. I think that BTC will bring more profit with hold for more than a few months.

I believe bitcoin, as the first known cryptocurrency will always be the leading coin and as far as it would remain that, holding the coin for a long term would always be the best of options, except when an alt takes over its place.

For me yes, it would be the best long term investment because it is the coin that has shown tremendous growth and it has the first mover advantage. It is the first cryptocurrency and the king of all cryptocurrencies at the moment. There are many speculations as to how much would its value be in the next few years and majority of those who believe in cryptocurrency has a positive view that it would be worth much more and surpass its all time high. Some use it for its real use which is a real currency compared to other coins that are just pure speculation.

yes of course bitcoin is great for long-term savings because I think bitcoin has a very limited total supply that makes bitcoin prices from year to year incurs a very significant increase and provide benefits for those who have bitcoin when buying cheap prices.

I think Bitcoin would be one of the best coins to hold for long term but there are also other altcoins which are good to hold as well if you want to diversify your horizons on trading.

I have been in the market for awhile, and always hear the same mantra about trading to hold more Bitcoin and not Fiat. I bought into the same mentality for a long time, but I'm changing my tune. In almost every industry, first generation leaders are replaced by competition. From Sears, Kmart, Nokia, Motorola, Yahoo, MySpace, etc. Although Bitcoin is the current crypto reserve currency, I think that its dominance is threatened by ALT coins with faster, cheaper transactions and greater scalability. What do you think? Is it smart to hold Bitcoin as a long-term investment, or are there better choices among the ALT coins like Ethereum or Litecoin?
There are coins that are good for long term investments. You are correct that bitcoin is one of the best cryptocurrencies that are good to hold in a long time. As time passing by, the value of the bitcoin is continuing to increase due to its limited supply in the cryptocurrency market. |

as you know, investing in btc and hold it in the long-term which is also the safe way to trade. but you should know that during investing time you only make one transaction, it's mean that you only make the profit once times. on the contrary, when the price rises and fall, you take advantage to sell and buy. making many transactions as that will help you increase your profit. therefore, almost people like invest in the short-term more than.

BTC is already at 9k. But no matter how high it reach, it will remain as the world's best coin to hold. Actually including altcoins listed from the top 1 to 20 in the coinmarketcap are good to hold too. I do hold ETH, LTC, DASH, XLM, IOTA, and ADA. There are coins that are good for long term investments. You are correct that bitcoin is one of the best cryptocurrencies that are good to hold in a long time. As time passing by, the value of the bitcoin is continuing to increase due to its limited supply in the cryptocurrency market. For long term, bitcoin and ethereum are the best investments. Other ones are not that solid and you can't make sure if their support is that strong. Bitcoin and ethereum provides the best alternative to cash and tradinional currency. So, you can have them in long term in your portfolio. This wouldn't be a bad choice at all. Venture capitals started to accumulate bitcoin and ethereum as a preparation to the future. |

Although i do think bitcoin will never go away and is a decent long term investment (crypto wise) i have to disagree with you on the fact that its not the best crypto investment long term. In my opinion, Ether is the best long term investment due to the fundamentals behind it. Its the only crypto that provides real value by allowing you spend the token in order to run any arbitrary program. |

A lot I will tell you if you don't know, a lot, and in December when prices were on top many coins were on all times high. Will we see that top again? I'm sure we will, that is coming again very soon, who ever is buying in the dip will harvest profits on many fields, whole market is growing, bitcoin more then others but don't forget other alts, this is entire system and if you support crypto you should support other alts as well, there is a lot of free space for all of them to advance in this world. |

Bitcoin should be in the portfolio of each investor..This coin sets the pace for everyone else. A strong community, developers...from alcoves EOS, RDN, TON. These altcoins need to make a strong competition to ETH.
