It is the most ideal coin to be held for a long term. But, there are still a lot of altcoins out there that are worth holding for a long-term. Ethereum is also a good coin worth holding for a long term and everyone knows that. There are projects that are partnered with big companies that will cost a lot in the future.

Well, holding for a long time period is not a bad idea but when you compared to holding some other good alternative coins that has greater profit potential will do you more better because the percentage increase in their values may be far ahead of Bitcoin.

we know that bitcoin is the best long-term hold coins that will give us a big return in the future but this depends on how patient we can hold the bitcoin. and if we can hold while we still buy more bitcoin if the price gets down, I am sure that our profit will bigger and we don't have to sell all of our bitcoin because we only need to sell 1 bitcoin to get much money. but I see that it's only a few people that can be patient to hold the bitcoin and the other people is getting panic because of the price is too volatile.

Yes Bitcoin is the only coin we have to buy in the long run and it's because it's proven and the closest to be used in many real people. With Bitcoin being the best known and most tested coin, it is unlikely to be lost. I think this is a value store more reliable than other coins. That does not mean that it will be the most profitable and sure coin.

How did you came up with that opinion that Eth will looks like will surpass Bitcoin in just one year? No other coins can surpass Bitcoin specially the Ethereum because Bitcoin has no product to promote in which the people will just invest directly into it unlike Altcoins and Ethereum in which they need to advertice their products just to attract more investors and that is why i wonder how it will surpass Bitcoin if the ICO advertisements will start to be ban on June? |

Having a diversified plan is always a good pick. Along with the same I prefer having bitcoin to be the primary asset for long term holding and then falls different other altcoins. In specific user who has lot of fiat can just invest into bitcoin with the best security features enabled can just leave it for years and get the biggest earning after years. |

Those first-generation companies listed haven't all "been replaced" by their competition. Sears is being driven into the ground by a CEO who has raped the company for the past few years and for his own benefit. It's an interesting story which I'd recommend googling. KMart is in the same company as Sears, and with the same CEO. The guy basically doesn't want to make any improvements to stores and is waaay out of touch with his customers. MySpace is the only company that really got blown out by competition from FB, but Yahoo! is a close second. The other companies are still around.
Most of the replies here are just shitposts, so I'm not going to add much more since nobody will read it. Suffice to say I don't think bitcoin is going to be overwhelmed by anything currently on the market--I just don't see it, not even with ETH. I'm not saying it's not possible, because it is, but bitcoin has the biggest user base among all the other altcoins and can essentially do everything the other coins can.

no doubt that bitcoin is the best long-term holding coin for every people which want to gain a big return in cryptocurrency. we admitted that bitcoin can give benefits in financial especially to make money but some people cannot hold their bitcoin for a long-term and they are panic when the price is getting down. we really need a strong hand to hold bitcoin because we know that the price is too volatile and will change in every time and for the people that can hold the bitcoin, they deserve to gain the big profit in the long-term.

Very interesting topic. And some stated are facts. As the saying goes only change is constant in this world. This is why despite bitcoin being the first and currently is the king in crypto space it needs some more developments too. It has to compete what these altcoins are offering in order to stay in power. I have many bitcoins for long term purposes but I also have bunched of different altcoins too. All have great potentials so diversifying investments is our best security here. |

Yes bitcoin is better for both short term and long term holding as in both conditions it will give us profit up to some extent but sometimes when the market is not going good then we have to avoid the short term holding because in this condition we may lose some amount of our money so we have to hold them for a longer time as in any situation the market recover in long term. |
