Ixc difficulty is dropping.
It seems someone is listening.

51 attack inkoming!
Apparently the biggest concentration is in the USA with 35%, unless all these nodes are a person or a group, is it really coming? Shocked

Never! Ixcoin is more alive than you can imagine! IXC and NMC are basically the oldest coins after the BTC! If Ixcoin died, It's known as a phoenix. Wink

Me likes the sound of that.  IXcoin is definitely in the ashes right now.

Announcement:

Ok we gotta do something about the large inactive ix wallets.  One key element to mass adoption, which is our main goal, is wide/mass distribution.  The big problem right now, given ixc is such an old coin, is that there are numerous very large wallets which have been inactive for years.

So the plan is to employ a progressive redistribution system for inaccessibile coins, basically the top 90-100 wallets.  If you don’t want to me “charged” this .1% weekly [5.2% yearly] fee then you simply move your coins into multiple smaller wallets.  It’s that simple.

This will be a gradual process and will be similar to a progressive tax programme.  .1% weekly [5.2% yearly] would be redistributed [to miners] per year from inactive wallets.  A wallet with 10,000 ixc, for example, would literally take 50 years to see such a charge while a wallet with 1,000 ixc would take 500 years.

And again, if you have a huge whale wallet simply move your coins into multiple smaller wallets which is safer anyway and you won’t get charged anything.

We need to do something about all the dead, inactive wallets out there to increase our odds of attracting viable partners and getting mass adoption so this step is crucial, and it is also very fair and transparent.

What do you guys think?  Please post your opinions and feedback.

Regards,

RV

Thanks for your input.  I’ll let Archimedes know and maybe we can get this done with the next update.

I was warning people about cryptopia for a couple months before they got “hacked” and now I gotta say Yobit has been looking very cryptsy-ish.  Locking wallets down into maintenance mode for months at a time for no obvious reasons so I would be careful about holding any IXcoins on there.  Just a heads up!

Yes, my handwriting actually looks like that in real life, sooooo...

In the Galactic Milieu we like to be able to compute the per coin value of a currency by adding up the total "treasury" or "warchest" of the Nation, Corp, Civilisation or whatever that "issues" the currency and dividing that total by the number of coins minted.

This calculation is of course easier for coins that are no longer "minting" new coins.

Thus for a long time the Ixians within MUDgaard and the character known as Ix on the CrossCiv server have been piling up as many assets as they can with which for form an "IXCorp" Corp that can take upon itself the mantle of being the "backer" of IXCoin, the Corp whose full faith and wealth etcetera is supposed, if only within the game, to be in effect the issuer of the "IOUs" known as IXCoins.

I did a search to see whether IXCorp, like so many other Corps within the Milieu, has a thread here, but the only mention of IXCorp a search of the Altcoin Discussion section found was in the "Volume versus Liquidity" discussion thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1303473

In DeVCoin's official thread I have posted about a Corp known as DVC, which hopefully will eventually serve to be how we compute the value of a DeVCoin; that is, we will add up the assets of DVC and divide that total by the number of DeVCoins in existence to determine a "fundamental" value of a DeVCoin.

What the Ixian clan and the character known as Ix are trying to do is to pile up enough assets to make it feasible to do the same for IXCoin.

Basically what they need to do initially is pile up assets whose value adds up to 21 million multiplied by the approximate "going rate" that so called "price discovery" (exchanges, markets) has come up with for an IXCoin.

IXCoin having had such pathetically low prices on exchanges lately is actually helpful toward this effort, since it lowers the size of the pile they will need to accumulate in order to be able to be feasible as the "backer" of the coin.

I have just posted a bunch on the DeVCoin thread about how the DVC one is going; I will soon be consulting with Ix and the Ixians and other interesed parties about the proposed IXCorp.

Note that this is all part of the game, to determine the in game value of various in game assets, in no way should it be construed as being a "security" on the mythical planet known as earth.

Clearly, they have deeply underestimated IX.
