Altcoins are different, yes a lot of them depend on ETH, which in turn is envious of BTC, but there are some that depend on themselves, for example I have tokens who live by themselves

I think the biggest problem with the altcoin is that it is not safe. I will be afraid to invest in them because their value is very uncertain. If the encryption market is not good, the value of this currency will not survive.

the biggest problem altcoin I think is too fleeting to disappear, the popularity of new altcoin only at the time of listing in the market after this much abandoned people, no one develops it like eth platform or waves. all happened just a moment where when the project runs and already many who forget the project.

Investors in the digital money market find that the biggest problem with Altcoin is that it depends on the BTC. Actually BTC is king in the electronics market. So, in my opinion, the more important issue now is the continuous technological improvement of the Altcoin to meet the needs of the market and the community.

Yes, the problem you described does exist, but you have not considered that the influence of Bitcoin has become smaller and smaller. Over time, this will be more significant. The altcoin will not always be affected by Bitcoin, or influence. Will be smaller, it all takes time to verify

I think that the main problem of alternative coins is that there are a lot of them. Most projects are not viable, and are unlikely to be implemented in people's lives. Small coins take away part of the capital and thus don't allow more interesting projects to develop.
Those projects exist mainly for 3 reasons, the first one is that scammers are using icos to steal from people, the second reason has to do with developers trying to get money to develop their ideas that are not going to work, and finally I have a felling that governments are creating many coins in order to subtract money from the market cap of bitcoin and to lower its price.

I think the biggest problem with the altcoin is that it will never exceed Bitcoin. Most altcoins are useless. Bitcoin is still the market leader, and no currency can shake its position. The altcoin is always a younger brother.

Be patient please, lets all cryptocurrency enthusiast take profit from altcoin. It's not a big problem. Don't need to rush, bitcoin price is rise naturally. Let's make our community strong first, those cryptocurrency enthusiast who rich will become strong sypporter for bitcoin, at the end those people can help bitcoin to be accepted by all people in the world.

You are totally right here  and I agree with you at all. I hope that altcoins will be more independent from BTC because its influence is so hard that it brings damages.

The biggest problem is that a very large percentage of altcoins is unacceptable ,and simply unnecessary .

I think the biggest problem of altcoins is the marketing strategy, lots of good altcoins and better than bitcoin but because of the limitations of marketing strategy it makes the development of altcoins always hampered.

As for me, for today the biggest problem of altcoyins is the total dependence on bitcoin. But there is another problem that many altcoyins would not survive without the support of bitcoin.

very many interesting opinions! but my opinion is that the problem is in the biktoin! while there are no competitors at bitcoin, all coins depend on the standing of bitcoins! if there are normal competitors, then there will not be such sharp jumps and everything will grow evenly! the second problem is the appearance of hundreds of new coins that clutter the stock exchanges, as well as the scam!

I think the biggest problem is the scum today. Because most of the projects do not survive a year after they collect their money. I do not see any prospects for this kind of activity if the case develops in a similar way

The whole world is interested in Bitcoin and small groups of people are interested in various alts. What are you selling your alts for? For Bitcoin (option: for Ether), but anyway, the major trading volume is btc and eth. So any alt depens on these two.

....is their complete dependancy of Bitcoin. It really takes all the fun out of crypto trading.

No matter what kind of awesome progress some altcoins make....it doesn't change the trend upwards if Bitcoin doesn't allow it.

Pump and dump groups I also blame. Because of them I'm very positive that Bitcoin won't make it past 30 000 this year. 50 000 to 80 000 would be realistic without pump and dump groups dominating and controlling the prices.

Anyways, these things have to change somehow. The first altcoin developers who claim their absolute freedom from Bitcoin will be the real winners of this crypto game.

You're really saying it right. That the presence of altcoins prevents bitcoin from rising in price. Everyone hopes that altcoins can give crazy growth (x5 x50 x1000), but there is no growth. And all because there is no desire to buy bitcoin, because all altcoins in themselves do not grow, they depend on bitcoin. Here is such here is crypto circulation .

Yeah I notice that altcoin will always depends on the price of bitcoin, but if bitcoin price increase a lot altcoin will also increase more than bitcoin increase, it can increase 2x or 10 or sometimes 100x from the price.

The biggest problem with alt coins is their binding to bitcoin. They can not form their own prices in the market, they have to be dependent on speculation with the first crypto currency, which badly affects their price.

In my opinion when bitcoin will fail, most of the alternative cryptos will survive anyway, because many of projects from alternative cryptocurrencies are stand-alone and sufficient alone without bitcoin dependency.
