Know your customer (KYC) have good and bad side. If I am an investor I would really appreciate if there is KYC implemented so that i will know the ICO have security on my end but if it is only airdrop and some not legitimate bounties that requires KYC i would not definitely join that campaign.

Yes, I still join some bounty that needs KYC but before that , I will first inspect and research about that bounty and about the ICO so that I can assure the safeness of my information and also my identity. It is better to be careful than regretting what you did just to earn money. It is easy to earn money but losing and giving your identity with the wrong person is very hard to get over with.

It's not a good idea to give personal information to strangers. But as a matter of fact. where to go if they announce it at the end of the ICO. And you have nowhere to go, you have to go through KYC not to be left without money.

For me I only join ico which I believe has potential and can give me great profit wether they implement kyc or not. Kyc is not that bad I think. It gives credibility to the ico and makes things a little secured compared to an all anonymous ico's. Yes the best quality about cryptocurrency is anonymity but sometimes it is necessary to give a couple of information as well.

For me, i dont want to particpate in that KYC because all your information must to give you. What if the participating is not legit, In that way, this might be the reason why your btc wallet and other social media accounts might lose by hackers because he knows your information and has the documents that indicate is you. That's why giving personal information to others is not safe.

Yes but i do sure its legit because giving information to a random stranger in the internet is a dead game but this risk could lessen if i research on the ICO

I have not been asked to KYC in the bounty campaign that I am accepting to work for. But if they ask, I will complete that rule. KYC is also a way of identifying a valid project and setting rules and quality in earnest.

Yes i do. KYC keep ICOs away from illegal activities. If ICOs have KYC, i'll trust them more than no KYC ICOs.

I just wonder about what you said about "KYC keep ICOs away from illegal activities". Maybe you can give more explanation to that or elaborate on that much further. Having a KYC is not equal to "Trustworthy company", it only tells you that the company needs to get your personal information for their purpose. You are only telling me that as long as the company asks you to submit your personal information you already trust the said company and for that I am quite surprised by your easy trust.

Obviously, coin distribution will be wide and more serious investors can get in. Still have not forgotten about BAT ICO, in 4 seconds everything was sold to few whales. KYC and whitelisting eliminates this possibility.

I had such experience. ICO gone well and I got nice profits but sometimes I worry about my personal info that is now not only mine! I hope that only government need my info and no one else. Be careful and don't send your documents to every company. Review who will do identification of the documents.

I just feel KYC is a security check measures helping both the customer and the investment itself. Sometimes the intent of KYC is not known from onset only a few states it from the beginning, but KYC is not a bad idea to me, especially if the ICO is a promising one.

KYC is good especially when the project has proven beyond reasonable doubts to be successful. It is a requirement that has been implemented by the authorities of many countries in other to eliminate the issue of money laundering and the funding of terrorists.

No because such procedure is not so necessary as some person think and good projects can provide ICO without it. Moreover, it is not so difficult to buy docs for multi-participation.

yes, all all serious projects require the passage of the procedure, without it you can run into the 100% SCAM

Do any of you participate in ICOs that requires KYC (Know your Customer). We actually experienced this one on exchanges but how about in partipating in ICOs or just even in airdrop that requires KYC.

I think it depends as for me as they are many scams as well just getting your information. In some instances, we can be blind sometimes, mkay? I really do not join airdrops if it requires too needy to get your personal information.

I believe some people are not cautious as long as they can join airdrops. How about you? What are your thoughts about KYC in ICOS?
No I don't, I never paticipate in any ICO that requires KYC because I just want to keep my identity in since we know that there are some anomalies in cyberworld like they can steal your identity and use it in evil deeds. However, I don't think that these ICO would do that but still I must keep it hidden just to be sure my identity is safe.

Yes, you're right mate. KYC is not necessary in fact many ICO become successful without asking any KYC from their different participants in the bounty. Well, to those bounty want a KYC and makes me convinced to joined ,on that case I have no choice but to provide a KYC since they want to know their customers to avoid spammers as part in their bounty.

no. Never. I buy the dump tokens from small Exchanges after the ICO. This works 100% on every Ico and I don't need KYC. Bitrewards = Dump,Aventus = Dump,Daostack = Dump ,Terraminer big Dump ,Envion super big dump and Scam .... and many more. And I don't need to worry about the team running off to Ico with my money.
Telluria = no KYC. Very good and later a very good exchange in europe !!!
