I think almost every ICO now requires KYC verification and I really do not like this. It has lost the anonymity of digital money. Besides, it annoys me with too many verification steps and filling information. It is gradually losing its inherent nature
Yes, that it, in addition, your information is easy to share online, I know they need KYC to return the money to citizens of countries that can not join the ICO. And my goal is to make money, so I will KYC with the most powerful ICO.

Do any of you participate in ICOs that requires KYC (Know your Customer). We actually experienced this one on exchanges but how about in partipating in ICOs or just even in airdrop that requires KYC.
I think it depends as for me as they are many scams as well just getting your information. In some instances, we can be blind sometimes, mkay? I really do not join airdrops if it requires too needy to get your personal information.
I believe some people are not cautious as long as they can join airdrops. How about you? What are your thoughts about KYC in ICOS?
We always have the choice, to provide someone with their personal information, or not. If to take into account airdrop, which require KYC - I do not participate in such, but if it is investing in ICO projects, then this is normal, since almost all projects require it.

There's nothing strange about it. If we want the crypto currency to be regulated in order to avoid constant manipulation in the market, sooner or later everyone will need to pass KYC. You will pass it now or later, I do not see any difference.

Hi, everybody. Of course, moreover, I participate in several ICO in which KYC is required. And in my opinion there is nothing wrong. And usually they pay generously in good faith. Although of course, it is difficult to talk about all. But in General, I'm fine with it.

KYC for the participants of the ICO generosity campaign is nonsense and stupidity, as well as illegal action on the part of the ICO team. We are not investors and therefore can not pass such a verification, it is illegal. This check is carried out to prevent the laundering of dirty money, and we do not invest in the ICO project. Sometimes it is also said that the US has banned its citizens from participating in ICO companies, and therefore this check is carried out to fulfill the requirements of this country. However, this prohibition is established in order to prevent the participation of citizens in risky investments in ICO projects, that is, this prohibition should again apply only to investors. I never participate in those ICO projects where the KYC is not excluded.

I think it is more suspicous when they do not ask for KYC. why? Because they need to think of US and China regulations before they accept payments from investors if they dont to so , it is just a questions of time when they will get shut down .

A an ICO marketplace project called Menlo. One is creating a platform where you will only be required to prove our identity once for KYC requirements. This mid-July, it's going to launch its token sale. When it goes live, investors will be able to buy different tokens within a single platform! I really think that this will change how we investors view ICOs since it will make it very easy and safer. This is a link to Korean Jew's interview of Menlo's CEO where everything mentioned above is discussed in detail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o&feature=youtu.be

Yes, because that's the only way to get profits I want. Airdrop will never give something like that even if KYC seems to be risky.

It's good that I demand Kyc, in fact, more confidence that the project will not cover, but it all happens!

I try to choose projects that require proof of identity. It's a weak defense against deception, but I like to participate more in such projects. If you think about security I think you will have to make the same choice. The market is weak and a lot of fraudsters want to return their money for the troubled projects.

No, and I never would either. If I really needed to join one I would rather buy or photoshop a fake id than sending in my own. They have no means to correctly verify most information anyway.

I try to avoid it when possible, kind of goes against the whole idea of cryptocurrency in the first place. A lot of them seem to tell you you need to KYC after it's finished though.

It is common practice. Just each ICO make a KYC before you can invest in. Yeah, I join these ICOs, bur recently I tried to participate in Fantom ICO, and they rejected all russian pasports without any reason! Such a disrespect make me avoiding this project

I'll review its whitepaper and possibly invest some while it's on pre-sale... Also, being required to upload ID's for each project is too troublesome in my opinion and it's difficult to trust every single project that requires it.

For some Airdrops you feel it's unworthy to KYC you can not do. But there are a few large project airdrops, they give you pretty much the coin and the desire can be sure that the participants are getting fair. That is when they ask you to KYC. With KYC, those people will not be able to cheat!

KYC in ICO is fine as long as that was a promising ico. I tend to choose the ICOs I invest in very carefully, so I have a certain level of trust at least in those running the show.
