They do know their chances. They know that they have really small chance of winning but the thing is, they don't know how little. Agree. The negative effects of gambling could be mitigated if you simply do the right thing. It's always necessary to never spend more than what you can't afford to lose, as it could impact your financial life in a bad way within the future. To play safe, just bet with small amounts and quickly cash out whenever you get some profit. Otherwise, you'll keep betting until you're left with nothing at your disposal.

The effects of gambling are more negative than positive, IMO. However. for gamblers, they don't care about this if they're able to make money (or have the ambition of doing so) when placing their bets on a gambling game. Control himself so that he will never be addicted to it so no losses, no debts, no stress, no broken family, and no insufficient funds. Make gambling just a past time just to have fun.

Eventhough a rich person make gambling as daily activities, it doesn't mean it's a contagious scenario that playing too much could possibly provide them profitable wins. The possibility of lossing huge money can happen at all times, which sadly brought a person stressful situations. I agree with you, legalizing gambling doesn't mean the same thing will happen in a certain country, perhaps it may worsen the situation of that certain country. I guess it depends on the situation of the society of that country for them to legalize gambling, but if the person who Governs that certain country knows that gambling will not contribute any help, then he will not legalize gambling, simple as that.

For example here in our country, the society is having too many problems about drugs and killings everywhere, poverty is also one of the biggest problem we are facing, so technically I don't think that gambling might help us right now.

I sort of disagree with these. None of these are guaranteed at all and you have very little chances of having success on these "Good effects" of gambling.

1. You CAN make money easily but the possibility is almost zero. Since people always stay as long as they can gambling, they always lose. The only time that they end their gambling is by the time they have reached zero balance and they come back tomorrow to do the same thing.

2. Does it really? I used to be a gambler and it gave me nothing but brain fog and a momentarily dopamine rush whenever I win. After that? It's months of regretting that I even gambled my bitcoins. Those coins could have been worth thousands of dollars now.

3. The thing with gambling sites and casinos is that you start to have gambling buddies and you keep on coming back to the casino just to socialize with them. But "friends" of that type can easily be lost because there is nothing bonding you guys together but your shared addiction in gambling. Once you stop gambling, your friendship also stops unless you guy decided to try and befriend each other outside of the casino. But how often does that actually happen?

We may keep trying to look at the good part, but we all know the good part is only applicable to the government and the casino owners and very little percentage of those that luck was on their side and wise enough to know when to stop.

Every other person outside these category shares a huge loss and from what I can see, a higher percentage of gamblers always end up at the negative end of gambling at the end. Yes, the fact that he has won just a little amount of money over time, does not mean he would keep on winning forever and that is the issue with a lot of gamblers since once they have a small win, they feel comfortable, assume they have got the best strategy to keep winning the house edge until they get to learn the hard way and the unfortunate part is that it is one thing to be able to learn the hard way and it is one thing to be addicted already based on one's previous mentality.
