As far as i know product is a main thing behind a project.If your idea is not productive/innovative/constructive/distinguished then you project have 100% chances to be successful and would be highly appreciated by community and adoption rate will be high,which means success is certain for this particular project.Definitely experience development team will bring high quality product/idea which will deliver fairly to community.

Of course, it is important to have a good working product or app, because the investor can see that this startup have an experience and enough skills to make this product better.

And also they know about the product before they invest because when you are a investor, you need to make sure that your money come into a good way to have profit.

Every ICO need a project and it is good if almost all does help by the project they do.

I feel it is not easy to actually know if an ICO project is scam or not but by this you can at least have some confidence in the project so as to participate.

Not just in the world of cryptocurrency but also as a business ethic, one must have a prototype of the said product or service ready whenever one applies for a business loan or even a crowdfunding campaign. Same is true on an ICO we need to be sure that at least we can see a prototype of the product before we can consider investing.
